Today's review concerns the absolutely gorgeous Satin and Lace Corset with Hook and Eye Closure by Coquette.

The corset came in a plastic bag with a soft satin-coated Coquette black and white hanger. Little plastic bags were safety pinned to the corset, with the removable shoulder straps and garters. The corset itself is gorgeous with few to no loose threads. Build quality is solid and it won't break or fray any time soon. A satin ribbon wraps around the corset but is sadly attached around the back, so removal is out of the question. The bow it is tied into can be undone. The back is laced up with a long black ribbon and can be adjusted for tightness. The front offers hook-and-eye closure.

We ordered a medium, a the girlfriend is a 36B with a size 29 waist. It fit her rather snugly but did not offer any corset "shaping". Even with the adjustable tightness of the lace-up back it was hard to get it to really shape her body. Because the corset doesn't really offer any cup support it smushes the breasts a little, but it's not necessarily a bad look as it's overall a pretty tight corset. There is certainly cleavage though, which is a plus.

Apart from the lack of real shaping we really enjoyed this corset. It looks nice and has removable straps (garters and shoulder straps). It comes with two shoulder straps (one for each shoulder!) and six (three for each leg garters). Along the sides of the top and bottom are proper insertion points for the straps. When they're secured in place they don't fall off, and the fact that they're removable is quite nice.

At their longest the shoulder straps are about 15 inches. At their shortest it's about 7.5. At their longest the garters are about 7 inches and at their shortest 3.75. The garters come with the standard composite metal-rubber fastener. The corset itself from top of the back to the bottom of the back is about 16 inches. The front varies a little, as do the garter attachments (which flare out). The corset is polyester and the boning is plastic. Because this is a delicate piece, dry-cleaning is the best option if that's at all possible.

We had a good time with this. Despite our always-intense bedroom play we found the corset lasted although we never kept it on while getting it on. She's also worn it as a top out to great acclaim.
