Seams Like a Dream
Light as a cloud and sexy as hell. These stockings are made in a vintage style with some modern comforts. Supremely comfortable and realistically priced they make a fabulous addition to any wardrobe.

Pros
Inexpensive, relatively durable, super sexy.
Cons
Won't fit the more bountiful ladies (or gents) or the exceptionally tall.
When I saw these vintage looking contrast seam stockings on EF I snatched them up quick as you like. You see, I have a MAJOR stocking fetish. WHOA mamma, these are very nice. Soft as a cloud these ultra-sheer nylons are near perfect vintage re-productions with a few modernizations to add durability.
Definitely not one size fits all, the site calls them S/M, and I have to agree. I generally wear a size 9.5 in the vintage variety, so I would call these a size 9 comparatively. They also came higher up my leg than my vintage pairs, i.e. my vintage pairs generally come to about 4” from where the leg meets the crotch, the Leg Avenue pair comes to about 2” from my crotch. I lay the stocking flat to measure them, this is what I came up with:
Toe to heel 8”
circumference of thigh flat 14”
length from toe to top flat 44”
For reference on my 4'11” 136lb. frame these come up the leg 25” my thighs at the top of the stockings are a circumference of 24” and my calves at their thickest are 14”.
While these are nowhere near as stretchy as the nylon/spandex thigh highs most of us are used to, they do have some stretch. Compared to a pair of my vintage stockings the thigh band is thicker, which is both good and bad. On the side of good, the thicker material makes it easier to hook the garters to the stockings. On the down side, if you're meatier in the thigh department as I am it'll cause the tops of the stockings to roll a little. This isn't a major point if you wear a 6 or 8 strap garter belt but if your wearing a 4 strap belt the rolls will be noticeable. For visual reference here is a pick of the Leg Avenue stockings on the left and my vintage pair on the right.
As you can see the Leg Avenue stockings have a much thicker thigh band, the keyhole welt is barely visible when un stretched.
The toe/foot/heel areas are similarly re-enforced, the Leg Avenue have the high, square shaped Cuban heel finish where as my vintage pair have the triangular shaped French heel.
These are constructed in the same style as the vintage stockings I so love and being made by a major company like Leg Avenue makes them easier to obtain and at $15, they're not so expensive that you have to treat them like glass. I have some very nice, very expensive stockings that a worn out to a nice dinner and promptly come off before any friskiness ensues, these can stay on. A note about their durability, while they are solidly constructed and relatively resilient the ultra-sheer leg means that the nylon strands are farther apart in the weave and therefore easier to catch a snag, however, if you spot the snag early enough you can gently rub the stocking in a small circle and sometimes that will fix the pull before it becomes a full on ladder.
They do require a little more TLC than nylon/spandex stockings. Hand wash only with a mild detergent and hang dry. You can wash them in a lingerie bag on a gentle cycle but they still need to be hung dry.
I would recommend these to anyone under 5'6” and under 150lbs. They're a great addition to any lingerie collection, especially all you retro-erotica and rockabilly types. I hope I've covered everything, if you have any questions feel free to ask!

Experience
I found these to be extremely comfortable, they felt barely there the whole day I wore them. The seams give them a sexy detail and accentuate the line of your legs. They made it through a day of walking around and a round of mini-golf without a snag!
Follow-up commentary
1 month after original review
i completely DESTROYED these! lol, it was alot of fun doing it. I plan on ordering a few more pairs just on the principle that I can wear them to a show and if they shred I don't have to spend a month of sundays hunting down more vintage pairs in my size. They held up alot longer than I had anticipated :)
