Santa Brought Me Coal in the Form of Panties
Despite how much I liked the look of these online, I'm not that big of a fan of them in person. The material used in these is pretty soft and stretchy. Coquette decided to go for a seamless look for these, which in turn means the back seam of the panty is pretty weak and unravels quickly. These were also a bit baggy on me and most likely will not stay up if I wear them as everyday panties. For the price, the quality isn't that good.

Pros
soft material, stretchy, fits a good variety of sizes
Cons
seams coming undone, baggy on me, tag is placed low in the back
With the coming of the holidays, Coquette has released a new collection of lingerie. I decided to try out a few pieces and see if they were any different from the other stuff I have from them. One of the first things I bought was a pair of red panties. They’re microfiber, which is a material I love in panties. The panties are available in one size fits most and plus size. I chose one size fits most. They are also available in black.
The panties arrive wrapped in plastic. They have a small paperboard tag attached by a safety pin. The tag isn’t very informative; it just lists icons telling you how to care for the panties. They should be hand washed and line dried. Do not put them in the washing machine or dryer and do not bleach them. Inside the back of the panty is a small clothing tag that lists the material content of the panties. These are made of 90% nylon and 10% spandex, exclusive of trim. The panties are made in China.
The material used to make these panties is microfiber. Microfiber is a very soft, smooth material. It’s as smooth as satin however it has stretch to it. I am able to stretch the panties quite a bit. Microfiber is also more breathable than satin, making it more comfortable to wear. There is a liner sewn into the crotch of the panty that feels like it is made out of cotton.
Panty liner
Compared to most panties found on EdenFantasys, these are really simple in appearance. There is no additional detailing to them; it’s just a plain ol’ pair of red microfiber panties. Unlike most panties I have tried, though, these are almost seamless. The waist and leg openings have no seams to them. There are seams holding the front and back panels of fabric together with the panty liner and there is one in the rear. The lack of seams along the edges of the panties makes them a great choice to wear underneath tighter clothing since you won’t have panty lines. Since there is no seam at the waist, there is no waistband made out of elastic or silicone. My only complaint about the seamless edges is that they seem a bit rough. When looking at them up close, you can see that the edges aren’t perfectly straight cut.
I’m not a fan of what stitching there is in these. Also because of the lack of seams, the seam in the back started unraveling at the top before I even had a chance to put the panties on. Very gently tugging on them to test the stretchiness of the material started it. I will be able to stitch them back up again, but it’s a pain to have to do so to brand new never worn panties.
The tags are sewn into the seam in the back. Coquette decided to place them kind of low compared to most tags, most likely because they did not put a seam on the waist. Since they put them so low, they’re going to irritate your butt crack pretty easily, so you’ll want to cut them out. I would have liked to see Coquette make these tagless panties, since those are so much more comfortable.
These are available in red or black. I decided to go with the red panties first to match some lingerie I have. The red matches that in the product photos pretty well. Due to the white background and lighting they appear slightly lighter red in those photos.
Measurements (unstretched/stretched):
Waist: 32/48 inches
Hip: 32/48 inches
Rise: 7 inches
Leg opening: 20/32 inches
As I said before, I ordered the one size panty. I typically wear size 5 in panties. When I buy them from Victoria’s Secret, I always buy size small. I was expecting these to be a bit smaller because one size usually seems to be a bit smaller than actually fitting most. Coquette quotes these as fitting within dress sizes 4 and 14. They should fit if your waist measures between 26 and 32 inches and if your hips measure between 36 and 42 inches. I wear usually a 5 or 6 in jeans. My waist measures 27 inches and my hips measure 35 inches at their fullest.

Experience
When I first put these on, I liked how the fabric felt against my skin. It felt soft and smooth. Sometimes panties with seams around the legs or waist feel a bit binding, especially if the seams are low-quality. The lack of seams made these feel very comfortable in both areas. Unfortunately, these felt a bit baggy on me. No waistband means that if they’re even slightly baggy on you, they’ll just keep falling down. I didn’t keep the panties on very long, though, since I needed to fix the seam.
For best fit, I’d recommend these to anyone who measures 35 inches around at the hips up to about 46 inches. Any smaller and the panties simply aren’t stretching enough to stay on. Any larger and the panties will not have enough room to stretch to get on and the seam in the back will rip out.
These do not offer full coverage in the back. Instead they kind of cut up high to really show off your butt. Usually I hate that kind of fit and prefer to have my butt fully covered. With these, it’s actually comfortable feeling. I didn’t find myself immediately wanting to pick the panties out of my butt crack. Instead I was able to let my fiancé get a good look at them before I took them off due to my worry about the unraveling seam.
Even though these are “holiday” sexy panties, they aren’t limited to just the holidays for wear. They aren’t holiday themed or anything, they just match the chemises, babydolls, and corsets Coquette has out for their holiday line. These will work fine with any lingerie, really. I like using this kind of panty to replace the cheap thongs that come with many lingerie pieces. I personally planned to use them to replace the thong that came with a red and black chemise. If you want, these can definitely be worn as just an everyday panty, too, under jeans or work clothing.
My overall opinion of these is decent. I love the feel of the fabric and how comfortable these are. I don’t love that they didn’t stay up very well and that the seam in the back was already unraveling. For the price tag on these, you’d think they’d be a bit better made. I like these just enough to wear them, though not enough to purchase the black pair. I think if these were sized I would have liked them more.
Weighing their pros and cons, I give the holiday panty 3 out of 5 stars for being average in quality.

I don't like these panties at all anymore. I like my clothing to fit well so that I don't have to adjust it constantly, and having to pull my underwear up or down when wearing them just aggravates me too much. I haven't worn these since my initial review. It doesn't help that I just haven't gotten around to fixing the falling apart seams so that these can actually be worn.
