Sailor Dress That Sunk!
Overall, I think this product was a complete waste of money. I will not ever be wearing this, so it will just continue to sit in my drawer until I throw it out. It had so much potential, but it was a total fail.

I was very, very disappointed by this costume. I bought this because I work at Wing House and I am constantly looking for holiday-themed costumes to wear for "dress to impress" days. I wanted to wear this costume for the Fourth of July because it is sort of patriotic. I ordered a size M from Eden and was very impressed with the price. It got here in a plastic costume bag with a picture of the model on the front. Inside, it contained the dress, the hat, and the top jacket. It is 100% polyester and looked super cute. However, that was about the end of my excitement.
The hat is cute and simple. It is white with a royal blue anchor in the middle. It has a cute little gold bow on top of the anchor, and I found that the hat fit very well like it did in the picture.
The dress was a completely different story. It is a halter-type style that is all white with royal blue accents and trim. The strings that tie the halter are blue, and there are gold and blue anchors lining the bottom of the dress that match the anchor on the hat. Though it looks cute out of the package, once you put it on you realize that the halter straps are in an extremely awkward place. They pull up right under the armpits, so when you tie them they cause fat pouches under your arms. The boob cups are meant for large-chested women. I found they were way too large for my size A cups. The dress is a pretty good length. If you bend over, you can see underwear, but I don't mind this in a costume. The place where the top connects to the bottom is also awkward. I think that either my torso is too long for this dress, or the midpoint of the dress should have been placed much lower. I do not consider myself a big girl as you can see in some of my other pictures, but this outfit makes me look like a whale. I think it has much more to do with the outfit's center line than with its white color.
I hoped that the jacket would cover my armpit fat that resulted from the halter, but it did not cover it much. So basically, I think the jacket is a complete waste.

Follow-up commentary

The reason I bought this costume was because fourth of July is coming up and I wanted to wear it to work. Though I feel confident in most things, I do not feel confident enough with this to wear it so I will be looking for something else and this will be sitting in my closet.
