I recently purchased the Fashion Tights by Leg Avenue because they were on sale. I can never have enough stockings so I purchased two - the navy blue coloured stockings and the brown coloured stockings. The tights are also available in black or white. I would have purchased the black stockings as well but they were out of stock at the time I made my purchase.

The packaging to the stockings was just a piece of cardboard wrapped around them. The front of the cardboard states the company name, product name, and has a photo of a model wearing the stockings. The back of the cardboard states the material composition and size. Leg Avenue usually has cute packaging to their products but this packaging is horribly ugly. Luckily, I didn’t buy the stockings for the packaging. The cardboard can be recycled.



The stockings are one-size-fits-most. The packaging has a suggested weight bracket of 40-73kgs. I did the kg to lb conversion online and it translates to 88-160lbs. I’m slightly above the highest suggested weight in that bracket but I’m usually able to fit into OSFM stockings.

The tights are 80% nylon and 20% spandex. Like most tights, they’re extra stretchy in both length and width. I’ve taken a few measurements of the tights laying flat. If you need additional measurements, please let me know and I can get them for you.

Waistband unstretched: 8 ¼ inches
Waistband stretched as much as I could: 24 inches
Length of waistband: 1 3/8 inches
Length of pantyhose unstretched: 36 inches

The waistband is a double layer of material. It’s quite thick. The rest of the stockings are thick as well. They feel very durable. The toe area is not reinforced but with the material being so thick, it’s not a problem. There is no pattern to the pantyhose and no back seams. The pantyhose are just one solid colour. There is no lining in the crotch area of the pantyhose.

So when I went to try the pantyhose on, they fit me in width but not in length. I’m 5’6 in height and when I pulled the pantyhose as high as I possibly could, the band sat half way up my bum. I tried so hard to pull the pantyhose up to at least cover my bum but unfortunately I was unable to. The crotch area sits far below my actual crotch. The pantyhose may work better for someone

The pantyhose are durable and extremely comfortable so it makes me sad that the length does not work for me. The pantyhose are fairly opaque but since I needed to stretch the material to fit my thicker legs, there was a trace amount of sheerness, which you can see in the photo below.

The packaging doesn’t state the care instructions. I suggest hand washing the tights and letting them hang dry. If you decide to put them in the washing machine, you should use a lingerie bag or similar item to wash the stockings in.

I’ve given the stockings a 4 out of 5 because they’re an excellent price, they’re durable, and they’re comfortable to wear. I’ve only deducted one star for the lack of length. I think these pantyhose would be great for someone who is shorter than me. It’s a darn shame they can’t be pulled up any higher than half way up my bum.

The Fashion Tights are nice but I chose that I "still don't like it" simply because they don't work for me when it comes to length. I've given them to a family member who is both shorter and thinner than me and they fit her nicely. It's disappointing though because my height is average and I was looking forward to adding these to my collection.
