Pretty Pink
The hot pink sweetheart corset by Escante is an okay piece of lingerie. I absolutely love the color. The corset is simple, yet cute. It's also pretty easy to put on by yourself due to the side zipper. I think size 34 matches up pretty well with size medium offered by other lingerie manufacturers. Unfortunately, the price for the corset is high for the quality you receive. Escante's size chart is also off for the hip measurement.

Pros
color, cute, easy to put on alone, fits great for size medium
Cons
not the greatest quality, price, sizing chart is inaccurate for hips
What initially attracted me to the sweetheart corset was the variety of shades available. I really liked every color available for it. I also liked how the corset was plainer looking. Sometimes overly detailed lingerie seems to take the center stage and leave me looking like part of the background. I wanted something attractive, yet still simple looking. I decided to get the hot pink corset first, since that was my favorite color out of the bunch. I chose size 34 after looking over the size chart. The corset is available in sizes: 32, 34, 36, and 38.
The corset comes packaged in a cellophane wrapper. Attached to it is a hang tag with no useful information on it. Inside the corset is a rather large tag with some information on it. The corset’s material content is 100% polyester, exclusive of trim. It is made in Mexico. Care instructions are: hand wash in cold water with mild soap, do not bleach, do not wring dry, do not dry out of shade, do not iron, and do not dry clean.
Right out of the packaging, the corset has an odd scent to it. It smells like a factory or a car repair shop or something. It’s not strong, but it’s very noticeable when I have the corset on me.
The material used to make the corset is satiny on the outside. It feels soft and is shiny. The color is pretty close to what is shown on the product page. I really like how bright and feminine the color is. The inside of the corset is not lined, so it does feel a bit rougher than the outside of the corset. Over each section of boning the corset has a velvet-like material on the inside. The outside just has stitching on each side of the boning.
The bust area does not have any padding or underwire to offer support, however tightening the laces does provide some support. If you feel you need a bit more, you may be able to get away with a strapless bra. This also does not have removable straps; it is just strapless.
Along the left side is a black zipper and in the back is the lacing. The laces used for the corset are actual shoe laces, complete with the plastic ends to keep them from fraying. I personally do not care for them and plan on replacing them with some ribbons. The laces meet in the middle of the corset, rather than at the bottom. Pulling on one lace tightens the top of the corset while pulling on the other tightens the bottom. There is a 4 ½ inch privacy panel made in the same hot pink satiny material. This covers the space between the lacings if you do not want your back exposed.
All of the stitching on the corset is done in black thread and seems to be pretty well done. I did not notice any spots where the stitching was crooked or poorly done, however I did notice a few spots on the inside that the material was not properly trimmed and had some raw edges sticking out.
The boning used to make the corset is plastic. While it provides some hold, it’s not as good as metal boning. Since this has plastic boning, it’s not a good choice for corset training. It is good for wearing as lingerie or as a top. The sections of boning range from 11 inches long to 15 inches long. Each piece is pretty thin and flexible. There are 12 pieces of boning.
I ordered the sweetheart corset in size 34, which is size medium. Here’s the size chart information for that size:
Cup: B – C
Bust: 34 – 36
Waist: 28 – 30
Hip: 32 – 34
Weight: 120 – 140 pounds
My measurements are:
Bra size: 34B
Waist: 27 inches
Hip: 35 inches
Weight: about 140
The corset measures between 11 and 16 inches tall, depending on which area of it you are measuring. Measuring from the top of the cups to the bottom hem, it measures 16 inches tall. At its tightest, the corset measures about 30 inches around at the bust, waist, and hips. Pulling out the lacings evenly, I was able to get the corset to about 36 inches at all of the sections.
Escante’s size chart measurements for hips always confuses me. I find it odd that they expect a woman to be so much larger, measurement-wise, on top than at the hips. Typically lingerie has a bigger hip measurement than bust measurement. I figured since this laces up, I should be able to fit in it just fine despite me not being within the hip measurement listed for this size.

Experience
I feel when I wear the corset I am definitely at the smaller end of their measurements for size medium. I am able to wear this without letting the laces out too much. It doesn’t feel baggy on me, though, and I feel that size small would be too small for me. After wearing the corset, and considering the size measurements, I would change the hip measurement to 36-38. All of the other measurements are accurate. I would like to say, my tiny 34B’s were swimming in the bust area. A size C or smaller D cup would definitely fit better in the top. Even with the top pulled as tightly as I could get it, the corset was not very flattering to my breasts. Adding underwire and a bit of padding would have probably helped a bit. As it is, a strapless bra did wonders for me underneath the corset. I did not notice if the corset covers hard nipples or not. I think it probably wouldn’t since the material is so thin.
In this photo, I am wearing a bright blue bra beneath the corset.
Since the corset covers your torso and bust, I think it would be an appropriate choice to wear out in public. It’s a nice choice for lingerie, too. As I said before, I would not choose this if you are looking for a supportive corset or something for corset training. I personally just like to wear it with a pair of panties, though it does go well with some darker wash jeans I have.
Unlike most corsets, it is possible to put this one on by yourself. Simply loosen the ties in the back and wrap it around yourself before zipping it up. Then pull the ties to tighten it and tie those into a bow or knot.
If you need to clean the corset, it can be gently hand washed in a sink with a gentle detergent. It should be hung up indoors to drip dry. I think spot cleaning it would be much easier than throwing the whole thing in the sink. I would use a bit of gentle laundry detergent on a damp cloth to spot clean it.
When you store the corset, you’ll want it to lay flat. An uneven surface can warp the boning. If you need to fold it, do not fold it against the boning as that will wreck it. This corset does not have any sort of option to store it on a hanger as-is.
I think this corset is a pretty decent choice considering the price and what it has to offer. The addition of underwire and padded cups would have been nice. The quality is okay. I noticed a few areas that needed a bit of work, mainly on the inside around the boning. For what you’re getting, I do think the price is a bit too high.

I still like this corset. It's cute. I definitely like being able to put it on by myself. Having my fiance help me lace up a corset just kind of ruins the surprise of me putting on lingerie. I actually purchased the electric blue version on clearance and like that one as well. Unfortunately, that one is no longer offered on EdenFantasys.
