Pretty!
The Novak Mini Dress by ForPlay is a gorgeous dress that can be worn outside of the bedroom. I love the rhinestone accents and the ruching down the dress. The dress is form-fitting so it will hug every curve that your body has, whether you want it to or not. As long as you're okay with this, you'll love the dress!

Pros
gorgeous, rhinestone accents, ruching, stretchy material, comfortable, variety of colours.
Cons
form-fitting which some may not like, rhinestone accents may tarnish with time.
The Novak Mini Dress by ForPlay is available in the colours red, indigo, black, and white. The dress is available in sizes XS-XL. I own both the red and black coloured dress in size XL.
The dress arrived on a white plastic hanger. The dress was surrounded with plastic. The plastic covering to the dress states the company name. Attached to the dress was a cardboard tag that stated the company name, colour, and size of dress. The hanger is good to use for storing the dress when it’s not being worn.
The dress is 92% polyester and 8% spandex. The material is very stretchy. The dress does not become more sheer the more it is stretched though there is one exception: at the bottom of the dress. Since I have thick thighs, I really have to stretch the bottom of the dress. When standing with my legs shoulder width apart, I could see the outline of my inner thighs. This may not be an issue if you do not need to stretch this part of the dress as much as I do.
I’ve taken measurements of the outfit laying flat, unstretched. If you need additional measurements, please send me a message and I can get them for you.
Shoulder strap width: 2 ¾ inches
Shoulder strap length (includes length of rhinestone accent): 13 ¾ inches
Chest (armpit to armpit): 17 ½ inches
Cup width: 9 inches
Cup length: 7 inches
Length of dress (armpit to bottom of dress): 27 ½ inches
Width of bottom of dress: 16 ½ inches
What really drew me to this dress were the rhinestone accents. I’m a sucker for sparkly things! The rhinestone accents on the shoulder straps resemble the number “8”, or a loosely knotted rope. These accents are 2 ½ inches in length and 2 inches wide at its thickest point. The accents are silver metal with rows of rhinestones on them. The accents are not heavy. The accents have a bit of flexibility to them so that they can slightly curve with your body’s movement.
I’ve owned the black dress longer than I have owned the red dress. The rhinestones have not become loose or fallen out. You could apply a thin layer of clear nail polish to the accents if you wanted to, but it’s not necessary. The one thing I have noticed with the accents is the tarnishing. I’ve owned the black dress for a while now and there are a few orange/brown coloured marks on the accents.
The material to the dress is quite thin. The material is very soft and reminds me of a pair of bathing suit bottoms (some may like this, some may not). There is ruching down the centre front, centre back, and down both sides of this dress. The chest area of this dress does have padding in it but there is no underwire. You could wear a strapless bra beneath the dress if you need the support.
What I don’t like about the cups to this dress is that the padding does not fill out the entirety of the cups. The padding is much smaller in width and length then the chest area of this dress. The measurements I had provided above of the cups are not the measurements of the padding. The padding feels to be in the shape of a triangle with the top of the triangle having a curved tip. The bottom of this padding (widest point) is 5 inches and the length of the padding is 4 ¾ inches. Also, the padding is loose in the cups so it has a tendency to move around. You’ll need to adjust the padding before putting the dress on.
The dress itself is very form fitting, which just means it’s going to hug every curve on your body whether you want it to or not. With the material being so thin, underwear lines can be seen but the ruching does help cover them a bit. To avoid this, I wear a pair of control top pantyhose with the dress. Being an XL, I typically won’t wear dresses that are this tight. The reason I’ll wear this dress is because the ruching helps hide the chubby areas. The chubby areas don’t disappear, but they’re less noticeable with the ruching. If this dress did not have ruching, I would not wear it.

Experience
...continued
Above are a few photos of me wearing the dress. You can see that even though the ruching helps a bit with covering the belly, it’s still noticeable. This is because it’s so form fitting.
I’m 5’6 and the length of the dress falls mid-thigh on me. The length of the dress can be pulled down to make it longer but the ruching is on elastic band. This means that the more you pull the dress down for length, the less “ruched” the dress will be. If you’re a bit taller, you could wear a pair of opaque tights or leggings with the dress so that nothing is exposed. As for the cups of the dress, My C cups fit well. The top back of the dress has elastic band so if you’re a cup size or two larger than me, the dress should fit you fine as well.
The material to this dress is very comfortable and soft against the skin. The material did not bother or irritate my skin at all while wearing it. The care tag states that the dress should be hand washed in cold water (and I assume line dried) or dry cleaned.
Overall, this dress is really nice and I’d recommend it to those who are comfortable with wearing tight, form-fitting clothing. I’ve deducted one star for the tarnishing of the rhinestone accents. I’m not sure if this is just a one-time problem and not an issue with all of the dresses. I’ll be able to update this in my follow-up review once I’ve owned the red dress for a while longer.
