Only Long Legs Need Apply
The Wet Look Thigh High Stockings by Coquette are lengthy. I'm 5'6' in height and to reduce the baggy look, I have to pull them all the way up to my crotch. The length of these stockings in the OS/XL would be best for those who are at least a few inches taller than me. Not only did the length not work for me, but the sub par quality for the really high price wasn't impressive either. These may work for some people but I wouldn't recommend them.

Pros
Would work well for those who are taller, stretchy, comfortable, opaque.
Cons
too lengthy for average heights and below, sub par quality, expensive.
The Wet Look Thigh High Stockings by Coquette are available in one-size-fits-most and XL. I purchased the size XL. The stockings came in a plastic packaging with cardboard wrapped around the stockings. The front of the package states the company name, product name, and has a photo of the thigh highs being worn.
The back of the packaging has the same information as the front, another photo of the thigh highs being worn, and states the size, colour, and material composition. The packaging is not idea for storing the stockings when they are not being worn. The packaging can be recycled. I just keep my stockings in my sock drawer.
The stockings are 80% nylon and 20% spandex. They are stretchy in both width and length. The stockings are black in colour. They are opaque and they do not become sheer the more they are stretched.
Below are a few measurements of the stockings laying flat, not stretched. If you need any additional measurements, please send me a message and I will get them for you.
Width at top of stocking unstretched: 9 inches
Width at top of stocking stretched as much as I could: 16 ½ inches
Length of stocking unstretched: 32 ¾ inches
Length of stocking stretched as much as I could: 50 inches
The band at the top of the stocking is black lace with a floral pattern. The band is approximately 3 inches in length. Each stocking has 2 strips of silicone behind each band. The silicone strips go around the entire inside of the band and they are each 5/8 of an inch in length.
The silicone bands hold the stockings up on your legs so they don’t fall down. Since the stockings have silicone bands, you don’t need to wear garter straps with them. The toe area of the stockings is not reinforced but the material is thicker so you don’t actually need any reinforcement.
These stockings are actually OS/XL- not XL. There is a slight difference between the two on Coquettes sizing chart. The only thing on the chart that really applies to the stockings would be the suggested weight bracket. The chart suggested the OS/XL for those within the weights of 170-200lbs. I’m just a tad below this but I have fairly thick thighs. What really matters though is where you hold your weight. If you have thin legs and have a larger upper body but still fall within the OS/XL suggested weight bracket, you should probably go with the OSFM.
So at first when I tried these stockings on, I wasn’t sure where the seam line was supposed to sit. After looking at the stock photo, I realized I had them on wrong. The one seam line that runs vertically down the stocking sits at the very back of your leg.
I’m 5’6 in height and I can’t see these stockings working well for shorter heights. I’m able to pull the stockings all the way up my thigh, as far as my thighs will let me (so basically at my crotch). In the photo below, you can see the one stocking sitting on my leg where it does on the model in the stock photo. On that same leg (left hand side), you’ll see that the stocking is baggy everywhere, but especially around the heel and knee. To get rid of the bagginess, I have to pull the stockings as far up as I can, which I did on the other leg in the photo.
At the very top of my thighs, the circumference is 26 inches (I told you, they’re thick). This is at the very top of my thighs near my crotch, where my inner thighs touch. The lace band stretches nicely and I was able to stretch the lace to fit that large of a circumference. Surprisingly, there was no muffin top. The lace is lengthy and doesn’t cut into my thigh fat like some stockings do.
The silicone strips to hold the stockings up worked decently at the very top of my leg but when I had the band sitting half way between my knee and top of my thigh, the band would roll. I’m not sure if this has to do with the bagginess of the stocking but I had to keep them pulled all the way up to my crotch for them to stay put.

Experience
...continued
Other than the awkward bagginess and long length of the stocking, the material was comfortable against the skin. I did not experience any skin irritation while wearing them. The quality of the stockings is sub par. The scalloped lacing at the top looked choppy in some areas and there were quite a few loose threads I had to snip off. For almost $20 a pair, I expected better quality than what I received. The care tag states that the stockings should be hand washed only and hung to dry.
Overall, I’m not happy with these stockings. It’s nice that they don’t give me muffin top and are comfortable, but the length just looks silly on me. I’ve given them a two out of five because 1. I didn't find the quality to be that good (especially for the expensive price) and 2. they will only work well for those with very long legs. If you’re my height or a bit shorter, you can wear the stockings but you may have to pull the up all the way to your crotch… and even then they may still look baggy on you.
