First Impressions



I have been looking for a nice pair of thigh-high stockings for a while. Many of my lingerie sets have garter hooks to hold up thigh-highs, so I figured it was time to finally purchase a pair. I particularly liked the Toynary Irresistible Temptation 07 Sheer Garter Stockings because they were simple, and versatile. Many other stockings on the EdenFantasys are sexy for the bedroom, with fishnet material or bold patterns. However, I wanted stockings that I could also wear in public under a skirt or dress while still looking put-together and somewhat professional.



The set arrived in a sleek box with a simple, elegant design. After removing the protective plastic and opening the box, a re-sealable plastic bag containing the garter belt and set of two stockings slid out.




Material

When I touched the stockings for the first time, I was happy to feel the silky material I associate with stockings. As with most stockings, the material is thin and delicate. I didn’t file my nails before touching the fabric and my fingernail snagged the fabric before I had the chance to try on the lingerie. You can vaguely see where I snagged the material in the image below. Still, I loved the look of the semi-transparent material on my legs. It added a slimming effect while still giving a peek at the bare skin below.



I worry that this material will only last a few uses before the material accumulates enough snags to lose its professional, put-together look.

The lace garter belt is made from a very flexible, soft lace. I find the belt extremely comfortable. It worked well to hold up the stockings.

Material: 95% Nylon, 5% Elastane/Spandex.
Care instructions: Machine wash cold. Iron at low temperature. Do not bleach. Do not dry clean. Do not tumble dry.


Stockings

To put on these thigh-highs, I scrunched up the fabric so I could stick my foot in and roll the stocking up my leg without ripping or snagging the fabric. Check out my video review of the Irresistible Garter Bodystocking to watch this technique. I found the length of the stockings perfect, however, the band around the leg was very restricting! The first time I put on this lingerie set, I felt like I had rubber bands around my thighs! After manually stretching out the fabric for a few minutes, I found I was no longer cutting off circulation, however, the fabric was still quite tight. This created an unflattering look with the upper part of my thighs bulging over the band.



My favorite feature is the reinforced toes. It is hard to keep toenails in perfect condition. Feet are usually rough and calloused, which can easily snag delicate fabric. So, I was thankful to see the reinforced material at the toes.



Overall, despite the tight thigh band, I still felt very sexy in these stockings. Since thigh-highs are inherently crotch-less, I love the easy access this garment affords! I can see many steamy nights wearing these stockings in my future! Plus, I have a feeling that, with repeated use, the thigh bands will become looser.


Garter Belt

With such a tight thigh band on the stockings, there is no real need for a garter belt. However, I love how visually appealing the lace garter band looks against my skin. There are four attached garters, two in the front and two in the back. I could tell the front from the back because the garters were spaced further apart in the back to allow room to showcase my butt!



The garter clips were standard garter clips. To attach stockings, you simply slip the fabric between the clips, push the knob through the loop, and pull tight. Check out my Sexy Secretary Lingerie Video Review to see how to attach stockings to a garter clip.


Size

I knew before purchasing this garment that I was making a gamble with sizing. On the EdenFantasys site, the only sizing information I could find was that the garment was “one size fits most.” I know that I am usually on the lower end of size charts, so I thought that I wouldn’t run into any issues.



In fact, when the garment arrived, the sizing information stated the stockings should fit, “One size fits most, 90-160 lbs.” Since I am typically fluctuate between 97-107 lbs at any given time, I felt reassured that the tights would fit. Unfortunately, the thigh bands were too tight. I know that I have muscular thighs, however, I can’t imagine that most people in the listed weight range would find the thigh bands flattering.

While I was wearing these stockings for the second time, they ripped. I was not pulling very hard, but my finger ripped through the fabric just below the band of the stockings. Since I was at a formal event, I just crossed my fingers that the hole would not get bigger. However, as I walked around, the hole quickly went from quarter-sized to grapefruit-sized. When I first reviewed this product, I thought that the stockings were a poor fit on me, however, they might work well for someone will skinnier legs. Unfortunately, after the lingerie ripped on the second use, I decided that this is just a poorly made product.
