Well, Coquette has done it again. They have managed to produce yet another incredible piece of wet look clothing that has reminded me why they are one of my most favourite kinky clothing producers ever. It started with the wet look thigh highs a few years ago, and now I have been on this never ending quest to snatch up every piece of shiny clothing they sell. If you're unfamiliar with wet look, it's exactly what the name implies - a smooth, shiny fabric that is more lightweight and breathable than PVC or vinyl and much, much less expensive than latex.

It arrived in a box on a clear plastic hanger with nothing else other than a cardboard Coquette tag that showed a photo of a model wearing the garter. The first thing I noticed was the clasps... they are metal!!! Somehow I managed to completely miss this because they look like black plastic in the photos on the site and no where does it say otherwise. I was very pleased by this. I have had SO many crappy plastic clasps on garter belts break over the years; it's refreshing to see an inexpensive one with actual metal closures. As with the usual Coquette standard, the belt itself looks lovely and is neatly sewn together; not a loose thread or misted stitch to be seen anywhere on the garment. Another pleasant surprise was that this belt has SIX garters, three on each side. This fact IS stated on the website, but I must of missed it in my excitement of finding a a matching garter belt for the rest of my wet look collection. The garters are made of a very durable elastic that to me seems to be a tad bit thicker than the elastic used for most articles of lingerie. Not that this is a bad thing at all! I like my sexy wear to be durable!

On to the fit, I had ordered the one size fits all. Usually I always order a plus or queen size if given the option due to most lingerie running a bit small, and me having a large hip and butt area, but Coquette is almost always a true to size fit for me and wet look does have some stretch to it. The one size fits perfect on me (42" hips) but I would most definitely get the XL if you are even an inch bigger than that.

The recommended care for this garment is to hand wash and hand dry. I would highly recommend washing this item as little as possible, perhaps not even washing at all if you are comfortable with that. The shine will become dull with time and wear but if you take good care of this piece it will last you a long time. I also find that this kind of material wrinkles rather easily so it's best if you keep that little hanger and hang the garter belt up when not in use.

Seriously one of the best quality garter belts I've ever owned. I love this so much and wish it came in different colors!
