OOPS!! My apologies. I've been reading to the grandkids too much and haven't been paying attention to other important things. It's time for another review. Today we'll be discussing the "Sheer full back panty", in white, by Coquette in a size medium. This panty measures 13" across the waistband (hipband?) and easily stretches to 22". The Mrs. measure 40" across her hips and doesn't stretch at all. Advice from the Mrs: order down in size if you are in doubt.

These pantys are very pretty. There is a strip of elastic (3/8" wide") that runs around the waist and 2 more strips that run around each leg opening. This creates a ruffle in each of these areas. At the center of each side is a very narrow seam (2"). The seam is very well sewn--the edges match up and it is flat. The narrowness and the elastic comes together to make the fabric look like one wide ruffle at these points. In the center back of the panty is a narrrow (1/8") elastic that is 7" long sewn onto an 11" wide spot causing a ruching effect that is very nice. At the center point of the waistband sits a flat light blue bow with a rectangular silver metal piece that has glass "diamonds" set along the perimeter. It is very secure and because it is machine stitched in place, it can not easily be removed without damaging the fabric (unless you a much better seamstress than the Mrs.). I know the ladies are interested in if there is a cotton lining in the crotch area. There is a 3" X 1 3/4" patch of white cotton that serves the purpose. This patch is larger than other liners I have seen in pantys that I would say are "sexy" (SEXY!). Fabric content is 78% nylon and 22% spandex. Washing instructions are on a small tag sewn into the pantys and are to only hand wash these, without bleach, and hang to dry. The Mrs. busy schedule (mostly keeping me in line...) does not give her any time for handwashing. She places these in a net bag and tosses them in a cold water, nonchlorine bleach load in our washing machine. The net bag is a necessity because of the decorative bow on the pantys. They look fine but I suspect that hand washing would extend the life of these. When I do the laundry, I follow her lead.

To me, this panty looks skimpy but in "a good way". It certainly does not compare to the skimpiness of a G-string or thong. These sit very low--much lower than any other undergarments the Mrs. has in her draw (well, at least the pairs that she wears on a regular basis). For any woman concerned about having a flatter backside, the ruching gives the illusion of nicely rounded, firm cheeks. Mrs. prefers these over any of the pantys that come with lingerie that we have ordered here on EF. Those get tossed to the back of the drawer and occassionally disappear from sight, never to be seen again (at least by these eyes). Although everyone denies this, I think that they end up in my daughters' drawers, but I can not be sure. These pantys do have a full crotch and for the Mrs. that is a plus. Most pantys sold on EF are crotchless.

The title of these pantys uses the descriptive word "sheer", and that is true. They are not mesh which makes this material very sturdy. The ruffles and ruching brings more fabric to each spot and they do not look as sheer as I had expected. If you stretch out the ruching/ruffles you can better see the sheernes of the fabric. They are flattering to the Mrs. (but, then again, what wouldn't be flattering to such a lovely young woman?). We both think that the ruffles/ruching hides the spots of her abdominal area that she doesn't want me to see (is she kidding?). There is so much stretch to the soft elastic bands that no muffin top is seen anywhere. These have not made it into her regular, "to day" rotation, but they come out more often than any other pair of sexy undies in that drawer of hers. She says that they are "just about" as comfortable as her "grandma" pantys. I couldn't pin her down and can not say with confidence what "just about" means. If you know, call me!

I will always enjoy seeing the Mrs. in skimpy anything! The Mrs. likes wearing these for everyday pantys. She says they are very comfortable and her favorite thing is that they don't end up giving her a wedgie!! She machine washes and dries these and they have held up fine. None of the edges (the legs, crotch) are binding.
