My skirt with nylon looks always wet. (XL)
I feel like this would look amazing on someone with the butt and thighs to fill it out. It really doesn't flatter my figure, though. While it is comfortable and the craftsmanship is good, the material does feel cheap (and doesn't feel like black wet-look fabric) and makes rustling noises when I walk.

Pros
Shiny, Comfortable, Stretchy, Well-made
Cons
Does nothing for my body type, Cheap-feeling material, Rustles
I'm a sucker for shiny things. I'm a sucker for red. It's easy to see why I was drawn to this skirt. Sadly, it really doesn't work that well for my body, but I'm sure folks with more ample bottoms and thighs could really rock this skirt.
This skirt came packaged very nicely on a hanger and inside of a plastic sheath. The tag was attached to the skirt via safety pin, which is appreciated since I never bother to locate scissors to cut tags off.
The skirt is all that is included. No awkward matching thongs or anything.
The tag reads: 80% Nylon 20% Spandex (Exclusive of trim). Hand wash only, Hang to dry.
This item is small and uncomplicated, and the fabric doesn't absorb as much water as most other hand wash items I have, so it's really easy to handle while hand washing :) ALSO, the hanging loops in this skirt are sewn to make them point downward (I hate when they point inward or, even worse, UP), which means they aren't fighting to get out of the skirt when it's being worn....which means I won't be cutting them out and can actually USE them for drying and storing. Huzzah!
The skirt laid flat. It looks exactly the same from the front or back. This happens to be the front. This is a good representation of the color.
When I hold the skirt in my hands, it feels really plasticky and cheap. Somehow, it feels nicer when I put it on and run my hands over it. Really, the merry widow "corset" was the same way. I'm not sure what forces are at work here, but that's the only way I can describe it.
Due to the flare of the skirt and the non-flaring of my lower body (lack of thighs and ass), this garment doesn't really agree with my body.
SIZING INFORMATION: According to Coquette's size chart, an XL should fit the following (only relevant measurements included):
Size: 14-16
Hips: 44-46
Me:
Size: 16
Hips: 42
I might could have gone with the large, but I was afraid of it being too tight. I do feel that the XL will, as promised, fit up to 46" hips, though. In this case, "hips" means wherever you want the band of the skirt to rest. The circumference of my body where I personally prefer to wear this is 41", THEREFORE, the XL will fit hips (as referred to before) of 41"-46"....though those with less ample thighs/butts would probably want to order down to a large if their hips are 41"-43", or if they want a skin-tight fit.
Even though I don't fill out the skirt like I wish I could, it still somehow clearly defines my lower stomach and pubic mound. I don't mind, but it's not something everyone will be crazy about.
For someone with fuller hips/thighs/butt, this skirt could probably be worn lower without looking ridiculous (like it does on me).
This skirt (and this picture) magically makes my lower back fat look sort of like a respectable ass, but don't be fooled!
And then the flaring. I don't care for it.
This is how the skirt looks in the context of an outfit, in this case with my Mario corset top.
*It's actually a legitimate corset, but it's a size too big so I can't do any actual cinching.
This isn't something I'd feel comfortable wearing out, but my husband likes it, so it will get some wear around here at least.
Thanks for reading, and feel free to ask questions :)
