My New Favourite Corset
The Fully Boned Lace and Satin Corset by Coquette is my new favourite piece! It's gorgeous! The corset can be worn both in and out of the bedroom because it is opaque. It's excellent quality and comfortable when worn. I'd absolutely recommend this corset to anybody. It's available in a wide variety of sizes and would look great on anybody. I'm terribly happy with it!

Pros
Beautiful, comfortable, quality, length, adjustable width, opaque, size variety, removable straps.
Cons
Garter straps have ugly metal pieces to them that leave rust marks.
The Fully Boned Lace and Satin Corset by Coquette is available in the colours white or red. The corset is available in sizes S-3X/4X. I had purchased the white corset in size XL. The corset arrived on a padded hanger and surrounded by plastic. The only information on the bag was from a small barcode sticker, which stated the product name, size, and colour. The hanger is excellent to use for storing the corset when it’s not being worn.
There was a cardboard tag and a couple of little zip lock style bags attached to the corset when it had arrived. The cardboard tag had a few images of a model wearing the corset and stated the company name, product name, colour, size, and company website. One of the bags held the 2 removable shoulder straps and the other bag held the 4 removable garter straps. The corset does not include a matching panty.
The corset is 100% polyester, exclusive of trim. The material has absolutely no stretch to it and it is opaque. While there isn’t any stretch, the width of the corset can be adjusted with the lacing down the centre back of the piece. The corset is white with an overlay of white lace. The lace has a pretty floral pattern to it. The boning covers don’t have the lace overlay on them.
I’ve taken a few measurements of the corset laying flat. The lacing down the centre back was done up the way it had arrived, which was as tight as it could be. There was no gap between the lacing when the measurements were taken. Again, you can loosen the lacing if you need more width to the piece. If you need any additional measurements, send me a message and I’d be happy to get them for you.
Chest (armpit to armpit): 19 inches
Waist: 17 inches
Hips: 20 inches
Length of corset (armpit to bottom): 15 inches
Length of corset (down centre back): 14 ¾ inches
Length of corset (down centre front): 14 inches
The corset has 14 flexible, plastic boning pieces to it: 6 in the front, 6 in the back, and 1 on each side. There are 2 closures to the corset. There are 14 hook and eye closures down the centre front of the corset and lacing down the centre back. The lacing down the centre back is done up with string. It looks and feels like a shoestring. The string is just less than ¼ inch wide. You could always replace the shoestring with a long ribbon if you wanted to.
There is a wide (1 1/8 inches) ribbon beneath the hook and eye closures down the centre front. This ensures that no skin is shown through the closures. There isn’t a modesty panel beneath the lacing though. The more you need to loosen the lacing; the more skin will be exposed.
Both garter and shoulder straps are removable and adjustable in length. The shoulder straps can be adjusted from 7 ¾ to 15 ¼ inches long. The garter straps can be adjusted in length from 6 ¾ to 10 ¾ inches. I don’t really get much use out of garter straps since I tend to wear opaque corsets and bustiers beneath a cardigan or similar item while out in public. Below is a photo of both straps at their longest. The first strap is a garter and the second is a shoulder strap.
If I were to wear this corset in the bedroom, I’d replace the garter straps. I just don’t find them attractive. They adjust with a silver metal piece that reminds me of old school suspenders. They function well but could be prettier. Also, the metal pieces seem to have left a little, orange, rust mark on the white straps. If you choose not to wear any of the straps, it’s not a big deal. The loops to attach both garter and shoulder straps are on the inside of the corset.
Getting into the corset is fairly easy. It’s easier to have someone tighten the lacing down the centre back for you but it can be done up on your own. When I have to put corsets on by myself, I loosen the lacing a bit and then see if I’m able to do up the hook and eye closures at the centre front. If I can’t, I’ll continue the process until I’m finally able to. My partner wasn’t around when I tried on this corset so that’s what I had to do.

Experience
...continued
My weight is in the high 160’s, I wear a C38 bra, my hip measurement is 41 ½ inches, and my height is 5’6”. The chest area of the corset doesn’t have any cups to it. There is also no underwire or padding in this area. You may want to invest in a pair of pasties if you want to avoid nipple outline. Below are a few photos of myself wearing the corset. The first is a front view, second is a side view, third is a back view, and the last photo is how I’d wear it in public (with a cardigan).
Surprisingly, I didn’t really have to loosen the lacing as much as I had thought I would need to. There was 30 ½ (times two) inches of string left in the knot I had made. This means that there is a lot of string left to add more width if needed. The length of the corset is perfect. It covers my hips and belly perfectly. There have been a number of pieces that were too short for me to wear in public because my hips and belly would be dangling out. I’m very happy that this piece has the length I need/want.
The quality of the corset is excellent. It’s also comfortable. I didn’t experience any skin irritation while wearing it. I’d be fine with wearing the corset for an entire day without any issues. The care tag states that the corset should be hand washed only and hung to dry. I’ve given the outfit a 5 out of 5 because the only thing that bothered me was the fact that the metal on the garter straps created rust marks. Luckily, the straps are removable so they can be replaced with a different set. This corset is gorgeous, has the length I need, is excellent quality, comfortable, and makes my chest look larger than it already is. I think I may have to purchase another one just in case this one ever gets ruined.

Rossie, I actually prefer the longer corsets since I wear them out in public. The average-shorter length corsets usually expose my "love" handles and chubby belly.
