Looks Better on the Floor.
This dress may look hot, figuratively, but it's literally hotter than I ever imagined it would be. It felt as if I were wearing a straightjacket and the material is thick, scratchy, doesn't breathe well, and shows ALL your curves, which may be a good or a bad thing. With a bit of tweaking I may be able to turn it in to something more useful, but as is, it was a bit of a disappointment.

Pros
Longer skirt length.
Cons
Itchy, tight, doesn't breathe.
Although the Shimmering Dress is an enticing, semi-sheer piece that offers a glimpse of what's underneath, the best thing about owning it is taking it off. If it works like a charm and serves its purpose of turning on your partner, you shouldn't have to worry about keeping it on for too long anyhow. This scoop neck, slip-on, zipper-free, long-sleeved style is certainly versatile enough to be worn in the bedroom or out to a dress-code appropriate venue such as a racy club on a cold evening. It looked sexy paired with some black heels, but all I could think about was how much cooler and comfortable I'd be once I got the darn thing off.
MATERIAL
The dress is made of 100% Polyamide, which is basically a polyester/nylon blend of silver and black fibers tightly woven together to give it a sparkling effect. It's a moderate weight, somewhat sheer, stretchy fabric. If you have ever worn dance tights for jazz or ballet, that's similar to how dense it is, but it's not nearly as silky smooth. On the contrary, it's scratchy and unbearable to wear for too long. Don't even think of wearing it on a hot summer's night unless you know it's coming off shortly thereafter, as it doesn't breathe well at all. I was sweating immediately after I put it on and my AC was even on!
A tag located near the lower side portion of the skirt indicates it should be handwashed and hung dry, presumably with cold water as one would wash a pair of nylons. It could be easily snagged, so keep sharp things away from it. As far as I can tell, the stitching appears to be well done and there were no loose strings when I removed it from the package. It's also very portable if you want to just roll it up and take it on a trip, as it won't wrinkle.
SIZE
The dress is only available in two sizes, SM and ML. I selected the ML for my size (10/12) frame and it fits like a glove, though much tighter than I like my sexy clothes to be. When first removed from the packaging, it reminded me of a bodystocking: a shrunken miniature version of itself. I wasn't too certain I'd be able to squeeze in to the 6-inch wide piece of fabric, but I did. The ML is about 40 inches long from the shoulder to the skirt hem, so if you were expecting a mini-skirt fit like the model in the product picture, you will have to bunch it up some. On me it came well below my knees and I'm almost 5'8" tall. If you are wishing it were available in larger sizes, really, you aren't missing anything. It's just not that comfortable or flattering in my opinion.

Experience
I sort of regret this purchase because I don't see myself wearing it regularly because it is just too hot and itchy. I have a very long neck and like to accentuate that area, so I found that when I pulled it down off the shoulders, it looked a little sexier on me. I'm still going to convert it in to a tube dress.
Follow-up commentary

Did I mention that I cut the sleeves off and turned this in to a tube dress so I wouldn't feel like I was wearing a straightjacket? Yup, I did, and even then, I hardly wear it. It's not worth the money!
