Look baby...I has curves now

The Princess Cinch is a well constructed waist cinch that does exactly what it is supposed to do, comfortably. The metal boning pulls you in where you want to be pulled and holds you there for hours. I only wish it came in white as well.

extremely useful review
The Princess is a satin waist cinch that offers metal boning throughout. The front closure is a metal busk (do you have any idea how hard it is to find that?!?!) and there are TWO (so many only give you one) strings in back (one going up, one coming down) that meet in the middle for a true nip in at the waist. Now, I have like five cinchers (all plastic, of course) and NONE of them actually pinch in and hold at the waist. The Princess Cinch does. I loved that.

The outer material is satin and the inner material is like a soft fleece like feeling, which means it gets warm while wearing it. The top forms right under the breasts, but to get the material to hold close you may need someone to help you tighten the laces in the back. You know, more open on top and bottom, but pinched tighter in the middle section.

There are 8 (not counting the front busk and the back where the laces are) sections of metal boning, each having two pieces of metal side by side which makes for a more comfortable corset. Keep in mind that the more you wear this the more the metal will shape to your figure...that is normal, not bad.

I haven't had any issues with this piece, and I have had it for a while now, and wear it frequently. Nothing has broken and none of the seams have frayed at all. I wash my corset in Woolight in the sink with warm water. To dry it, I lay it flat. And I store it in the bottom of my lingerie drawer, folded neatly so none of the boning is unintentionally bent. If you do this, your corset should last you quite a while. Also, when removing the corset, unlace the back first then release the hook and eye at the front so you don't accidentally break the corset...and ALWAYS loosen it before putting it on, then lace it afterward.

Now, the only *real* issue I have is that I am only 4'11" (I know, right). So, what this means is that the curve up in the front (shown in the photos, under the bust line) sits very high on me. NOT GOOD. Now, I was able to remedy that. After reading Luscious Lily's review I decided to turn the corset around...that did it for me :) If you would rather it fit, I recommend this waist cincher instead.

I will note that, while this is high quality, this isn't a custom corset, so there will be small flaws in the design. For me it was size, some people may not get the shape they want, and it may not be all you wanted it to be. Plus, it isn't really meant for tight lacing, if you want a true corset that is perfect, it will need to be custom fitted to you.

The Princess Cincher doesn't look bulky under clothing, actually slims you at the waist like it should (most plastic boned corsets simply won't do that like they claim). It is comfortable, holds your back straight and curves where it is supposed to without making extra rolls. It can also be worn on the outside of a nice blouse for a new look. Overall, I am really impressed and I truly love my Princess Cinch.

This piece only comes in black, so keep that in mind when picking what you will be wearing with it.
