Little Black Corset
This is a great little corset that can be worn out on the town as well as in the bedroom. The look is sleek and classy. Great addition to anyones wardrobe. The rhinestone zipper is very convenient. You don't have to fool around with a lot of hooks! That is something I really love about this corset.

The Fully Boned Satin Corset, by Coquette is a beautifully versatile piece of lingerie. I usually don't go for frilly things, but this corset has just the right amount of frill to make it feminine without looking "ribbon and bows" little girlish; which makes me quite happy. It looks super sexy and may be worn in or out of the bedroom. I love the style and function of the rhinestone zipper because you don't have to spend the time and effort you would have to if you were to hook each hook & eye in the back. This makes it great when you are on the go and don't have time for all that.
I would classify this corset as more of a bustier, as it really doesn't hold you in, but is more stretchy. Really more comfortable than a corset. I'm very pleased with this comfort, as I haven't worn a real corset in years and appreciated the breathing room this gave me.
The tag says: Made with 100% acetate. I've since learned that satin used to be made with silk, but is now made with lower quality synthetics such as acetate. I see now that it does look like satin, but has no satin in it whatsoever. It's all right with me, but something that should be noted.
The material mimics satin as it has the luster of satin and is glossy in appearance and silky to the touch. It is nicely lined and the lining material seems to be softer, matte and more comfortable against the skin than the outer portion. I suppose this is another form of acetate?
Acetate is a synthetic, or man made fiber which is hypo-allergenic. From my experience, acetate can mimic a variety of fabrics from jerseys to satin to velvet very effectively.
Not only does acetate fiber feel soft against the skin, its amorphous open-pore structure allows moisture to be transported away from the body, making the wearer feel cooler and more comfortable. Also, fabrics of acetate fiber do not conduct electricity, so there's no annoying static cling. So acetate is really a great material after all.

The top and bottom of the corset have a 1" ribbon of ruffled material, highlighting the breast and waist areas.
The body is streamlined and boned with 8 long plastic bones from top to bottom. There are also 2 smaller bones at the breast area, mostly for shape.
The back of the corset has two 3" wide areas of stretchy material that are located on each side of the hook & eye closures. This must be the Lycra material Eden mentions on the product page.
There are also 2 rows of 15 metal hook & eyes, for a wider range of fit. Using the outer set of hooks adds an extra inch of material.

The front design of this corset sports a bra line that deeply plunges, then rounds the breast in a sweetheart shaped way that boosts the bust and narrows the torso in a flattering way. There is absolutely no breast support in the corset. There is no under-wire or even cups sewn into the garment.
As you can see, there is no breast support
As mentioned, the rhinestone zipper adds a dash of pizazz to the glossy black material. At the bottom, where you start the zipper, the fabric dips down into a V shape to cover the stomach.
Measuring the length of the corset, I found it to be 11" long; 13" in the V shaped area at the front.
Coquette did well on the sizing of the corset. It is spot on with their sizing chart. I wear a 14-16 and chose the XL, it fit just right.
Coquette's Sizing Chart for XL is supposed to and does fit sizes 14-16.
Fits a bust of up to a 42-44 D cup; I wear a 42 C cup and it really did not affect the fit since there are no cups sewn in.
Fits a waist size of 34-36; my waist size is 38 and being that the material is stretchy and there are 2 rows of hooks & eyes, the corset accommodated the extra inches.
The corset does not extend to the hips, and ends at your natural waist line.
Coquette recommends that you hand wash this in cool water. Do not put into a washer or dryer. There are handy ribbon loops inside the corset which may be used to easily hang dry.
The corset arrives hanging on a clear plastic hanger by the ribbon loops and totally wrapped in plastic to protect the garment. Simple packaging, yet effective.

Experience
I like to wear this piece when going out rather than in the bedroom. I think it goes well with black jeans, and I have also worn it with a black mini skirt and boots. Wearing a choker necklace at my throat gives great visual appeal as well. Rhinestone accessories set off the front zipper nicely. If you do not want to be "all in black", it would look good with blue jeans or white pants.
Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
I've had no trouble whatsoever with this beautiful corset. The zipper still zips and the rhinestones are still in place. The stitching hasn't ripped or unraveled, and it hasn't shrunk or faded. I have to say, I'm very satisfied with this purchase.
