Let's salsa tonight
I love that I can wear this dress in and out of the bedroom because it is really sexy and gives me an excuse to wear heels!

Pros
Stretchy, inexpensive
Cons
Embellishment looks cheap, heavy
I ordered this Black long gown from Espiral in size Small. There is also a white version of this gown however it is not available. It arrived on a hanger with a clear bag covering it.
The first thing I noticed once I unpacked this dress was the weight. The handful of Espiral dresses stuffed in my closest are really light in a cheap way. Even if you've never had other dresses from Espiral, the weight of this is noticeable. I was actually surprised because if any of them were to be light, I would have thought it would be this since there are ruffles (I think ruffles would better when they can sway in a light material).
The dress is a solid black dress, without any texture or designs. It has halter style straps with silver embellishments attached to them. The back is open and has ties connected to the side. The neckline is a low v-cut front. There are also ruffles along the side of the dress, starting from the hip and wrapping around down to the hemline.
The black gown is a floor length gown. Since I am 5 feet and 3 inches, I should have been put off by the length but it didn't bother me when I got this. When I tried this on, it went 5 inches past my feet. When I wear 4 inch heels, this ends right above my ankles; I tie it really tight at the back for some support so this is why it ends at my ankles than at my feet.
I find that the embellishments attached to the halter straps are lame. They look like empty settings filled with glitter glue, like something out of a toy vending machine. According to the company, they are supposed to be rhinestone encrusted. But there are no rhinestones in my eyes!
This black gown comes in two sizes, Small and Extra Large. Here are the measurements for Small and Extra Large:
Esprial measurements
S ♡ 34 inch bust, 25 inch waist, 34 inch hip
XL ♡ 40 inch bust, 31 inch waist, 40 inch hip
My bust is smaller than 34 inches while my waist and hip are 26 and 36 inches. Spandex in this dress allows for a bit of stretchability so the dress hugs to my lower body. Since there are no underwires in this dress, I find that I don't have enough support for my breasts. Luckily, they are small enough that if I tie the straps tight enough, I can muster a bit of support from them.
This dress is made from polyester and spandex. I would recommend avoiding high heats to preserve the stretchiness of this dress. I hand wash this and hang it out to dry.
I've only worn this once in the bedroom but get more use wearing it when I go salsa dancing. I think this is better suited for occasions outside the bedroom because of the weight.
I like that this is slightly body hugging. This stretches to compensate for differences in measurements, but it doesn't make my body look awkward by clinging to my flaws.
Aside from the cheap embellishments, this is an okay dress. Since I like having the support from underwires, I'd skip this dress if I had to get it again.

Experience
The sight of the embellishments really detracts from what could have been a fairly decent (Espiral) dress. I actually purchased new embellishments to replace the original ones.
Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
The weather is a bit more warmer so I've stopped wearing this. I'll still wear this once I start dancing again and will look around for the white version so that I can dye it red.

Great review! I have the white one and agree with you one the cheap halter embellishments!!

"When I tried this on, it went 5 inches past my feet. When I wear 4 inch heels, this ends right above my ankles." Wait, that makes no sense! I was really hoping to get a better idea about how tall of heels I would have to wear with this. If it's 5 inches too long and you put on 4 inch heels it should still be one inch too long! Thanks for the review, though!

@Ryuson I tie the top halter ties really tight so that my chest has a bit of support. So with the excess length and the heel height, it hits right at my ankle. Sorry that was confusing.

@js250 Thanks! I thought about getting the white one but the sheerness of past Espiral dresses made me choose black

Thank you everyone!

Whoa! Way, way too long for me! Oh, to be taller! Thanks for the review though

@Ms. N All the more reason to bust out some sexy sky high heels. You could also get the other black gown from Espiral and alter the hem if you were looking for a black gown
-
Good idea to get a new embellishment for the dress. it looks like it would be really nice.

Thanks for sharing. I'm actually surprised this doesn't cling to bigger areas.
