I had two reasons for picking up these stay up thigh high sheer stockings. The first being, like many who have commented, I was curious about the color. While it is listed as red being the color one is getting, but the pictures are all of black stockings. The second being, I love stockings and socks of every kind. That being said, I am rather fond of these for the most part. The color is certainly red as you will see below, but it's ones that you can either use as an accent color, or if you want to have red all over it's perfect.

The stockings are from Leg Avenue. They came in a simple plastic bag with a cardboard insert that kept them safe, with a picture of the nylons on them, along with the information on size, washing and what the product was made of. I was a little surprised that I was sent them in a box of all things, which while it wasn't large, seemed too big for a simple pair of stockings. I wish they had been sent in perhaps just a simple padded envelope. It would have been a little more eco-friendly.

The stockings themselves are made of 85% nylon 15% spandex, as well two silicone bands along the top of the lace to help them stay up. They are listed on the package as One Size Plus, meaning they are meant to fit most 1x to 3x. I myself am a 2x in most things, so I figured they would fit me pretty well. This was only mostly true, I soon found out.





Pulling them on, I was able to get them to about mid-thigh with how much nylon was available to put my legs into so that my feet fit correctly in the bottom. I am rather short, (5'4") so many nylons are either too short or too long for me sometimes, but these seemed to be just right for me. Save for one little issue.





No matter how hard I try, the top always seemed to roll down on my thighs. They still stayed up, but I thought it took away from the sleek look that they are supposed to give. On someone who is plus sized who is smaller in the thigh area, they might work just fine, but if you are bigger in the thigh, then you might get more of a roll. This issue was the only downside I had wearing them. I found them to be very smooth and they stayed up well even during sex.

As for care, I would not toss these into the wash. The spandex does not handle high temperatures well. So I just hand washed mine in cold water with a small amount of lingerie wash, then hung them to air dry. They maintained their stretch, feeling and the silicone part stayed strong. They store easily wherever you keep your socks/underwear and are small enough to travel with.

I have gotten to wear these a few more times since the review, and they have gotten easier to wear with me losing weight in my thighs. They stay up rather nicely, though I still prefer to use garters with them when I know that I am going to be wearing them longer then it takes my boyfriend to get them off me.
