Lacey Letdown (3X)
This lace babydoll is perfect for the summer months ahead. It's made of a comfortable, breathable material that you're sure to fall in love with. However, if you have larger breasts or are insecure about certain parts of your body, this isn't the piece for you. The transparent material makes all your flaws obvious, making you feel more self conscious than sexy. Comfortable, yes, but not much beyond that.

Introduction
Lace Babydoll made by Escanté is a beautiful piece of lingerie that's perfect for summer! With the breathable material and elegant design, this seems like a must have for the warmer weather we've recently started experiencing. This flowing babydoll and g-string set are available in sizes Small through 3X, so there should be a size to accommodate nearly anyone!
It first arrives on a plain black hanger with a plastic bag covering it. The babydoll is hung nicely and the g-string is attached to the babydoll with a small plastic piece. There is also a tag attached that shows an image of a woman wearing it. No nudity is shown, but you can slightly see her nipples through the piece.
Design/Look
This babydoll is the definition of feminine. The top is halter style and ties behind your neck, but also has two straps that go down your back and are attached to the waist of the piece. The straps are simply mesh and don't have any special designs on it. The breast area features a floral lace pattern that is along the front of the bust line and goes up the bust area closest to your cleavage. The breast area itself isn't made of the floral pattern, but has its own attractive looking design to it. The bottom is a beautiful, flowing mesh skirt that is sweet and simple, and drapes elegantly around the curves of your body.
There is no underwire on this piece, and nothing to support your breasts. The tighter you tie the strings around the back of your neck, the more the material lifts your breasts and holds them in place, but unless you have nice, perky breasts, it does nothing to make them look and feel supported. Each cup is 8 1/4" wide at the bottom and is 12" tall; a great size that covers enough so you don't feel like you're going to fall out the front or sides, even when moving around in it. The cups are widest at the bottom and go up into an almost triangle shaped design.
The straps on the back aren't directly attached to the strings along the top, but are folded over and stitched. This creates a small hole so that the straps can be positioned easily, making the piece work better with your body. These straps are 14" long and are 3 1/4" wide at the bottom, but narrow to 7/8" at the top. They give the back of the piece a very unique look thanks to the design of this area. The strings at the top are much longer than necessary, but makes the bow in the back drape nicely. Unstretched, they are each 19" in length.
The skirt isn't straight across the bottom, but has a great design that gives it a nice flowing appearance. The skirt curves downward to a soft point and then curves upward again, and so on. This seemingly minor detail makes the whole babydoll that much more appealing to look at. The edges are serged to prevent the fabric from fraying and is done in the same color as the rest of the piece.
Every area of the babydoll is see through, but in different ways. The bust area is very obvious because the pattern is a little more open. You can see someone's nipples through this piece, which would make it a little more appealing to some, but makes it a poor option if you're looking for something you can also wear in public. The lace pattern is just as see through, but the bottom area of the skirt is made of a tighter mess which is much denser than the rest. However, there is no hiding your flaws in this piece. Everything is exposed, even though you're completely covered.
The coloring is a little different than stated on the product page and the included tag. There was a sticker on the back of the tag and on the bag that both say, 'MIDPURPLE'. In all reality, it's closer to a blue-purple than a purple. It's a great color, but it's much darker than the tag and website make it appear.
The included g-string is very basic. It's made from the same mesh that the skirt of the babydoll is made from, but it does have a cotton liner inside of it. Like the straps on the back of the babydoll, the string in the back is folded over and not actually stitched to the band. The mesh at the top is 7 1/4" wide and covers everything it needs to.
Feel/Quality Check
The material feels incredibly soft and is light and airy when you're wearing it.

Experience
(continued...)
Nothing about this piece itches or is rough against the skin, even the lace detailing doesn't cause an issue. On top of being soft, it's also very stretchy. This is great because it makes the piece fit nicely and feel comfortable, but the strings at the top are much harder to tie as a result. If they had made the whole piece stretchy other than that area, it would have been much better. Be careful that the babydoll doesn't get caught on anything. The fine material could easily pull and the look of the whole piece could end up messed up.
There are some quality concerns on the babydoll I received. At first I only noticed a few little strings here and there, but it wasn't until I was taking photos of myself did I realize the big mistake that was made. Each cup has a line running down the center of it, and should look like it has the same mesh on either side of it. Well, the one I received looks like it was sewn a little funny and part of the lace trim is in the center of the cup. It makes the cup look messy, and distracts you from the overall look of the piece. (see sizing section for examples)
Material/Care
There are two very large tags on both the babydoll and g-string that show the material type and care information. As long as you follow the care instructions you shouldn't have an issues with washing this piece. The tag on the g-string can be cut off since it's a little irritating during wear.
Sizing
I ordered this babydoll in a size 3X which is the largest size available. The following size chart gives you a basic rundown of Escanté's sizing:
My measurements are:
Bust - 49"
Cup - D/DD
Waist - 39"
Hips - 51"
Height - 5'9"
Weight - 270
Lingerie Measurements (laying flat):
Length: 31"-35"
Waist Width: 17 1/4"
Thong Width: 18"
Additional measurements were included in the above information, and more can be taken by request.
Even though I weigh 20lbs more than recommended, I still fit within the sizing chart. The babydoll fits very true to size, so there isn't a need to buy a size up or down.
As you can see, I have some serious issues with this piece. My lopsided breasts are beyond obvious, by 'back boobies' aren't hidden, and it's not nearly as flattering on my body as I was hoping it would be.
Overall Thoughts
I'm hugely disappointed since I had such high hopes for this piece! After having so many other plus sized ladies rave about this one, I thought it would truly be worth a shot. Because of my body shape, I really need to keep in mind that it's best for me to not wear things that are see through. Pair that up with the lack of breast support and I look like a mess. The quality is okay aside from the cup issue, and it's comfortable to wear. Because of how comfortable it is, I'll probably end up wearing this, but only when the lights are off.

Great review. I love the color and the flowy part covering the mid-section but I'm not a fan of the jalter portion.

This looks good on you. I agree the top part looks a hot mess though, such a shame because the color and flow of this is beautiful. Thanks for sharing!
