Classy lingerie is sometimes hard to find. I mean, the crotchless panties can be good for some evenings, but other nights you want something a bit different, a bit more classy. The Darque Maid Costume (lingerie, whatever you want to classify it as) is just the thing for those classy nights. I know you may be thinking- But it is latex! How is latex classy? Well first of all, this looks really well made and covers a lot of the naughty bits. It gives the wearer a bit more coverage while still accomplishing the sexy look.

This offers a lot of coverage, which means that it can classify as an honest to goodness costume as well. Which I plan on using as such too, come Halloween I'm going to be one sexy maid! You may not wear this to your child's party, but to any party or outing that has an average age of 16, you wouldn't shock any one. Trust me, the outfits that some of the younger teenagers wear are much more risque.

So what about as lingerie? Well, it performs the function of being a sexy maid outfit. It is nice to put on for those special occasions where you want something a little bit different than the lacy little numbers. This is perfect some night where you want to role-play. It really sets the mood quite well.

I got the 1X/2X and am at the very bottom of that scale and could have gotten into the ML with a bit less breathing room. My measurements are 36D chest, L/XL shirts, and 18-20 pants. Really the most important measurements are your chest. The back of the outfit can be adjusted (easy with another to help, still do-able to do by yourself though) due to the back though.

The boning is plastic, but still feels sturdy and well constructed. The latex holds up really really well. It molds to your body and makes you look slim at the same time. It isn't very constricting, unlike some other latex pieces I own, so you can still bend and move without feeling like you are stuffed in a sausage.

There is a slight, okay maybe more than slight, smell to this. When opening the packaging (which was really nice, you can see it in the video review portion) the smell was overwhelming. It actually hasn't gone away either. It doesn't both me, but if you don't like that smell it can be an issue. DO NOT WASH THIS!!! If you get something on this, use a damp cloth to clean it. Try and be careful though, because it is too nice to ruin.

It comes with a headpiece, but honestly, it is just awkward for me. I felt like I couldn't get it to look... right. It ties well, it fits well, but I wouldn't actually wear it. Just me though, I figure some people would like it. It is a really nice addition though that is constructed well.

This has kept up miraculously well. I've worn it for two halloweens at work. One job I wore leggings underneath to make it more appropriate and easier to work in, my current job though I just wore stockings with it. Both places were a hit. The fact that it has last two years is a huge testament to the high quality of the costume. Not to mention it has gotten a handful of uses in the bedroom.

I keep this in a basket with the rest of my costumes (my current job dictated I needed to be dressed in costume each day the month of October). When I want to wear it I usually hang it for a couple hours/a day depending on how much notice I have. I spot clean it/hand clean it. I wouldn't want it getting ruined when it has proven to be such a good piece.

I'd recommend this over any other costume I've ever owned personally.
