Jesse Bit Burlesque
This is one sexy piece of lingerie! The back laces make it possible to really cinch up the corset for a tight, customized fit. The boning and bodice material are very comfortable, and the red and black polka dot design is chic and flattering.

Pros
Super sexy and flattering design, giving material, very adjustable, custom fit
Cons
Tulle gets scratchy, hand wash only, tricky to put on without help, no underwires
Made from 80% nylon 20% spandex, the Jesse Corset has thin and flexible plastic boning encased in a satiny-feel material. With a contrasting red panel that covers the bust and tapers down the front, the design is flattering and sexy. The red area is covered with black tulle that has velvet-like black polka dots and vertical stripes, and there's a satiny accent bow in the middle for a formal touch. Around the entire top of the corset is more black tulle ruffling, which felt soft and comfortable enough at first, but after I'd had it on for a while it started to get a bit itchy. The laces are actually one big connected loop, and they're nice and long, so I'm certain this corset will easily fit the size ranges on the sizing chart. For those on the smaller side of the chart, there's going to be a lot of extra string to contend with. Luckily, the laces tie together at the bottom, so it's possible to disconnect and trim them.
Speaking of the laces, they meet in the middle of the back. This means it's possible to tighten the top and bottom separately, which makes it very adjustable. I was able to get into it and tie it by myself, but in order to really cinch it up and tie it tight, I had to have help.
Overall, it seems to be very well-made for the price. The seams and stitches all look clean. I did find a couple of wayward threads on the inside, but they're easily snipped off with scissors. The interior of the bra cups feel like they have a little bit of padding there, and a boning strip comes up the front of each for some shape and support. There are 8 strips of boning total around the corset, and the back laces make it possible to really cinch it up really well, so it does a good job of holding everything in. This could conceivably be used as a functional undergarment, as long as the top ruffling and front bow don't get in the way.
I'm not really sure which measurements would be the most useful to list, but I have this corset in a size small, and the front is 11" from the top of the bow to the bottom. Straight down over each bra cup to the bottom is 14 inches. The sides taper from 12 inches down to 10.5 inches where the laces connect on the back. With the laces pulled all the way together, the corset measures around 32 inches around the top, close to 26 inches at the waist, and about 32 inches around the bottom. With the laces all the way out, it's 42 inches at the top, a little over 36 inches at the waist, and almost 42 inches at the bottom.
Let me know what other measurements would be helpful in the comments.

Experience
I love the Belle De Jour Bustier I recently reviewed, so I was looking forward to trying out some more lingerie. When I saw this gorgeous corset I requested it as soon as I possibly could. Once I cleaned the drool off my keyboard, that is.
I LOVE the look of this corset! It's too bad Jesse doesn't come with the gloves (I'll need to find some), but even so, this is one hot piece of lingerie. I think the bust maybe runs a little big, at least for me, as I couldn't quite fill it. With no underwires it doesn't support me enough up top to wear out, but it's still an awesome little number for some bedroom variety. The only drawback is the tulle ruffling at the top can get a bit scratchy during extended wear.
As far as wearing it, once I'm all strapped in, I tend to keep it on. The laces are so long that the extra ends tend to get a bit tangled so undoing them in a hurry--as is often the case when the time comes--is not easy. Plus, this may not be one to surprise your partner with since getting into it without help may be tricky. Bottom line, I love the way it looks on me, and it makes me feel sexy, so I definitely consider it a win.

Follow-up commentary
13 months after original review
I still really like this corset, just maybe not quite as much. The lack of underwires and inability to get into it by myself means that I only wear this every once in a while, when I'm in a patient mood and not planning to do a lot of jumping around. One thing I started noticing after I submitted my original review is the strings don't seem to stay tied tight. This is kind of a bummer, and a few times I managed to work my way out of the corset when the ties loosened and I didn't notice. The ruffling around the top is still scratchy. But, I still love Jesse Corset design, and since I don't use it very often it has held up well.
