Itchy, Scratchy, And Saggy Chest.
I cannot recommend the Anastasia Corset and Thong by DreamGirl. The material on the inside of the corset is just so uncomfortable and irritating to the skin. The length of the corset is much less than what is stated on the product page and the chest area doesn't have any shoulder straps to hold it up so it just sort of... sags. I love the design but it was poorly put together.

Pros
pretty design, lace pattern is lovely.
Cons
unfinished so the inside of the corset is coarse, itchy, and scratchy, the chest area sags.
The Anastasia Corset and Thong by DreamGirl is available in sizes 32-38. I purchased the size 38. When I had first seen the corset, I really liked it in the stock photo! Also, the price is really excellent for a corset too so I had to get it. I purchased it planning on wearing it out in public as a top under a nice shawl/cardigan piece.
The corset arrived on a black plastic hanger with a plastic bag surrounding the piece. I never keep the bags that come with these items but the hanger is great to use for storing the corset when it’s not being worn. Attached to the corset was a cardboard tag with a photo of a model wearing the outfit, and states the company name, size, colour, and company website. The included thong was also hanging on the hanger.
The corset is 55% polyester, 25% cotton, and 20% nylon. The material is not stretchy, though there is an elastic band running along the bottom all the way around the corset and at the top back of the corset. In these areas there is stretch.
I’ve taken measurements of the outfit laying flat, unstretched. The corset was done up on the first row of eye closures (loosest fit). If you need any other measurements, send me a message and I’ll get them for you.
Thong
Waistband unstretched: 15 inches
Waistband stretched as much as I could: 25 inches
Widest part of material that covers your front area: 4 ¾ inches
Liner length: 4 inches
Corset
Chest (armpit to armpit): 17 inches
Length of corset (armpit to bottom): 12 ½ inches
Width of bottom of corset: 17 inches
Length of chest area: 5 inches
Length of back of corset (down centre): 10 ¼ inches
Width of lace panel in the front of the corset: 5 ¼ inches
Width of lace panel in the back of the corset: 7 ¼ inches
The corset hook and eye closures are down the side of the corset. There are 2 rows of 13 eyes with ¾ inch between the rows. The corset fit best on me on the first row of eye closures (loosest fit). There are 6 plastic boning pieces in the corset; 4 down the front and 2 in the back. There are no loops on the inner part of the corset for shoulder straps or for garter straps.
The first thing I did when I took the corset out of the bag it arrived in was feel the material. It felt very thin, much thinner than I had expected. I rubbed the material together and all I could hear was ‘scratch-scratch’. I looked at the inside of the corset and realized that it’s the same material as another corset I have. It’s rough and scratchy, not something that you’d want rubbing against your skin (or at least not for long periods of time anyway).
I feel like this corset doesn’t seem like the same one worn by the model in the stock photo. If it is, they must have done a lot of alterations to it to make it look so good on her. It even looks like it’s a decent length when she’s wearing it, but it’s actually pretty short (see measurements above).
The back has a ribbon criss-crossing down the lace panel. The ribbon really isn’t any good for adjusting the width because if you were to tighten the ribbon, then the lace panel gets all bunched up and doesn’t look very nice. I think the ribbon detailing is really just for show.
The thong is your basic thong with a lining in it. The care tag in the corset states that it should be hand washed in cold water and line dried.
As for my experience… It was a disappointing one with this corset. I was so excited when I seen the product page photo of the corset and the price. I thought it was going to be fantastic…but then I received it.
The corset was fairly easy to get on. I did the corset up at the front, and twisted the hook and eye closures to the side where they are supposed to be. I knew the material was going to be irritating from the initial feeling of the material but I decided to try it on anyways so I could confirm my belief. Not only was the material uncomfortable and scratchy in the chest area, but also the rest of the corset felt the same. It’s extremely uncomfortable. Unless you’re going to wear a tank top underneath this corset, I would not recommend it.

Experience
...continued
I’m 5’6 and the corset was quite short on the sides. Being a size XL, I don’t want my hips hanging out the side. With this corset, they did. The part of the area where your chest sits is loose and drapes a bit. My C cups didn’t seem to fill the top as much as they should have. If you have a larger chest you may fill the area more but it’s also going to weigh down the top much more than it did for me. I think this could have been avoided if there were shoulder straps to hold the top part up. Instead, they just sort of…sat there. You can see two photos of me wearing the corset below. The first photo is a front view, and the second is a back view.
It’s sad because I really think this design has a lot of potential. Unfortunately, not enough effort went into creating it. The inside of the corset is unfinished leaving the wearer feeling uncomfortable with irritated skin and the top part sags because there is nothing holding it up. I’ve given the corset a 2 out of 5 because most people will find the inside material intolerable. I would not recommend this corset to anybody.

Follow-up commentary

I hate having to say that "I still don't like it". I love the way it looks but it's so uncomfortable. It's very sad that the inside of the corset isn't finished because it really would be such a fabulous piece. I've had it sitting in my drawer since the review. I've wanted to get creative with the corset to see if there is any way I can fix it but I'm really not that talented. I'm hoping that one day I get a genius idea or someone else will have one for me so that I can finally wear it.
