It's a cinch!
A wonderful piece of lingerie that serves a number of practical uses and makes for an excellent introductory piece for those looking to get into corsets, bustiers and the like. Wonderful for costumes and anyone looking to spice up performances in the bedroom or on the stage.

Pros
2 in 1 convenience of garter belt and cinch, discrete, comfortable, attractive
Cons
The bow, the permanent garters, smallest size is 24 inches
The garter waist cinch by Leg Avenue is a relatively inexpensive cinch that serves a number of uses such as costumes, basic under clothing cinch, and waist training.
I am reviewing the S(small) size and it measures at 24 inches (minimum-Leg Avenue chart says 23"-25"). I would recommend this size for those with a 26-28 inch natural waist*. If your waist is below 24 inches this is nearly useless as it is desirable for the cinch to bring your waist in at least 2-4 inches. If your waist is at about 24-25 inches it can be useful, but not so much for waist training as for posture and shaping. The cinch has a distinct hourglass shape, and if used properly and laced tightly will give the wearer a very lovely hourglass figure.
Inexpensive corsets tend to have plastic boning and/or boning that does not continue around the entire corset, yet this corset has 10 steel bones-excellent value for the price. The metal front clasps are very strong and good quality. The design is basic but elegant.
The garter straps (which are of an excellent quality and are certainly the best I have owned thus far) not being removable is a pro and a con. It's nice to not have to worry about the straps falling off but if you want to wear it as only a cinch there is no option-unless you wanna get really creative, or tuck the straps inside.
The cinch is 100% polyester and feels quite satiny to the touch. It isn't itchy or unbearably hot when wearing. It's actually quite comfortable and feels very well made and sturdy. Taking into account that this is a Leg Avenue piece, I am impressed with the overall presentation and its effectiveness.
If your hips are narrow, this cinch may not hug the hips as desired. I would not recommend it for below 32" hips. The bow is pretty much just junky decor and is too awkward to be worn underneath anything. Thank goodness it is removable.
Lacing is textured polyester, therefore it does not slip and is more reliable and much more durable then the satin ribbon lacing on some corsets I've owned. It is also properly pre-laced, so if you have any doubts or questions as to how to lace or re-lace it, the answer is before you!
Its under bust design won't interfere with your bustline as a full size corset would, making it ideal for wearing underneath anything. Not tall enough to be considered a full sized under bust, yet does not create the rib area "muffin top".
For care, hand washing and air drying is preferable. Spot cleaning would be easy as well with a dark friendly stain remover.
Storage is easy as it folds up nicely and can be tucked away in a drawer, closet, etc.
* When selecting the size for your cinch, please keep the following in mind: This corset is not, in my opinion, designed for extreme waist training. This is a basic cinch, and useful for bringing in the waist 2-4 inches. I do not recommend it for those looking to reduce their waistlines more than 4 inches.

Experience
I perform every weekend as the lead singer of a local house band. I usually wear fairly elaborate or creative costumes and am always on the lookout for things that can spice up my on stage appearance. When I saw the cinch I immediately knew I had to have it. Not only would it make for a great piece to add to my costume collection, but it looked like it would be incredibly sexy to wear for my husband.
For me it is an excellent tool for improving my posture by making me more aware of it, while not forcing me into an uncomfortable position. When I'm on stage I tend to be very careful about keeping my abdominal muscles tightened in body-hugging outfits while still keeping focused on my performance, and it gives me some relief to let the cinch do its job and focus only on my performance. It is not overly constricting and gives me full range of motion. Even laced at its tightest, it is still quite comfortable for me to walk around, dance, etc. on stage.
It also does not inhibit my ability to take deep breaths for high and prolonged notes. It provides me with some variety for outfits whether worn on the outside (with some creativity)or underneath something. It does an excellent job at keeping my stockings up. That's one thing that did excite me about the cinch. Even if it does not entirely give me the effect I desired from the cinch it does make for a fantastic garter belt, of which I was in need.
The garter straps are very sturdy, do not stretch out during wear, and the clasps are the best I've ever encountered. I no longer worry about my stockings coming unfastened and ending up around my ankles while performing or out on a date with my husband.
During sex, the cinch provides and excellent bit of eye candy and it gives me the same peace of mind that it gives me on-stage. In the bedroom I still have the free range of motion but it makes me feel extra sexy. Since it is under bust, and short-waisted, all the "goods" are fully accessible to my husband. Aesthetics are always desirable and the cinch delivers there, most definitely.

The cinch still fits extremely well and has held up to multiple sessions and nights out. The quality is great for the price and it has proven to be a go to part of my wardrobe for many occassions. Definitely a recommended purchase.

Thank you for viewing Black garter waist cincher – cinch discontinued review page!
@ThoughtsAblaze-Absolutely! I love it even more since I have tried a few corsets and bustiers that didn't quite satisfy me as much as this.
