This is much unexpected, especially for me. I would have never imagined that this seemingly typical lace sheer set would become my most appreciated piece of lingerie. In fact, it wasn’t even my first choice. I had a few others chosen which were ahead in line, but this is what I ended up with and I’m sure glad I did.

I know what you are probably thinking. This? Meh, it looks ok but is it really that great? Let me assure you, the stiffened, slightly underweight manikin is just not going to give this set the respect it deserves. Allow me to explain. First off, the ruffles. They are what truly give this set its femininity. The fact that it is black implies that there is something very mysterious about its presenter, making it the ideal piece for some dark, domineering role-play. Then on to the fishnets, which are sure to make any woman feel a bit dirty. The act of just slipping the stockings past your knees gets you in character and is a sure way to distill some extra confidence in yourself. There’s no doubt that you will want to show this off, so have a deserving partner near to witness your presence.

This is a one size fits most deal, and I’m usually pretty iffy about these things. Thankfully this time I was among the ‘most’. I’m a size 7 with a 34B bust and I would guess with the elasticity of this material that those who are at least two or three sizes smaller or greater should not have a problem with fitment. This set is very accommodating. The only concern (though not really much of a ‘concern’) was with the strings on the top half of the halter. They would have been better off if they didn’t connect, meaning you could actually tie them like you would a bikini top. It fit me fine, but I wanted a little more lift and cleavage, so I made a quick fix by just tying a knot in it to cinch it up a bit. Instant perfect boobie fit! There were no issues with fit on the bottoms. Furthermore, they are an interesting piece for sure! The ruffles are sort of separated into two individual tiers. You can adjust them to make it look more divided, reveling the elastic boning pattern, or you can slid them closer together which reminds me of a pair of ruffled boy shorts (which I prefer). It doesn’t dig in at all and actually fits flush with my skin. It also doesn’t re-adjust itself like you might imagine. It pretty much stays put. You do have to be careful with the fishnets. They tend to stretch easily with normal movement (especially the rear ones) when attached to the garters. I found that if you scrunch them up a bit and then hook the garters on you can prevent some of the stretching.

Some of you may be turned off by the fact that the gartini (the panties and garters) is one whole piece, making it impossible to remove without detaching the garters. I admit that this is somewhat of a hassle if you are in a hurry to get things off. However, I had the advantage of taking things slower and quite enjoyed the time it took to undress with a little strip tease. My fiancé was equally pleased. I started by unlatching the garters one by one, then slowly sliding the stockings down my legs. Then it was on the top and finally the bottom. So, point is this makes a perfect contender for a strip tease, but not so much if you’re looking for a quickie.

How do you wash this? Well I have no idea, seeing as the box does not have instructions for care. However, being that this material is almost entirely made of lace I will be putting this in the washing machine at approximately 30 degrees or the cold cycle using a mild detergent. Of course you should not bleach this and do not iron either. Lay flat or hang to dry.

So why am I giving this set 5 whole stars? Because I am in love. Because this is the only piece of lingerie that has ever made me feel great about myself without having to worry about bulging here or too tight there. It fits like a charm and is equally admired by my fiancé who agrees that this is among one of his favorites as well. It’s super cheap but still has that sort of high end appeal about it with its delicate lace. Its dark, gothic charm simply demands attention from its viewers. It is also a four piece set with gloves and stockings, and frankly you just can’t beat that.

There are many ways to customize this set to your liking. Being the creative person I am I had to make this set my own. I paired it with a cropped, ruffled military jacket and some 5½ inch black pumps. Very sexy! Just off the top of my head, you could also throw on some different stockings and put on a pleated skirt and wah lah, instant naughty school girl. You have an imagination; don’t be scared to use it ladies!
