I'm a Boss
These "boyshorts" aren't really boyshorts, but they're awesome anyway! I feel like a boss when I wear them, and my partner loves them too. They're even suitable to wear all day long. I love them!

Pros
sexy, badass but feminine, revealing but comfortable, matches with a set, full coverage
Cons
runs small
The Blue Royale Boyshort is part of a line that I'm currently obsessed with by Seven 'til Midnight. I recently purchased a size small in the bustier set of this line. Even though the bustier fit great, the underwear that came with it was very small. My ass didn't fit into it well, especially since they put the stretchiest fabric in the front and who needs that? So even though they "fit", the lace did not fit too well over my ass. I wanted underwear to wear with the bustier that did not make me feel like I had muffin tops on my ass.
I bought a Medium in the Blue Royale Boyshort and the size difference is more dramatic than I thought it would be. The small underwear that came with the bustier is very small, and even I, as a size 2 with a 26" waist, did not fit in them well. The size small is very much meant for a size 0 with a tiny butt. It is likely that this piece in a small would have the same small fit as the ones that came with the bustier, even though they are different in style and this piece is more likely to stretch over someone's junk in their trunk than the ones that come with the bustier.
The design is pretty simple, and quite frankly, these are not boyshorts. They are much more of a bikini cut. There is nothing boyshorts about these except that they are meant to show a little cheek. There is a royal blue lace with a rose design, and a wetlook material on the sides and the back to form a heart shape out of your ass. They're just as pictured except that the blue is darker. I like the real blue better because I think it looks richer. There is a bright blue cotton liner of substantial length. These could be worn for daily wear, or for sexy times paired with the bustier or chemise in this set, or even just a black piece of lingerie. I wouldn't recommend pairing this with Coquette's wetlook items, because it's not the same, but you could try it if you please.
Here's all the information:
They are made of 92% polyester and 8% spandex, are hand wash only, and should not be bleached or thrown in the dryer.
Size Medium:
Waist, across, unstretched: 12.25"
Waist, across, stretched: 19.5"
Leg hole, unstretched: 7.5"
Sides (what covers the hip): 3.5"
Liner, length: 4.25"
Liner, width: 2"
Here are measurements of the size small that I received in the bustier set:
Waist, across, unstretched: 11"
Waist, across, stretched: 17"
Leg holes: 7"
Side, length (what sits on your hips: 3.25"
Liner, length: 4"
Liner, width: 1.75"
Here are some pictures including a size comparison between the small and medium. The difference is actually really significant, more so than I imagined when looking at the measurements.

Experience
At first, I could not decide which design I liked better. Yet, after owning both of these, I definitely like this one better than the design that comes with the bustier because it will fit more people. The lace is not stretchy at all, and so it really can't stretch in the waist or ass which are the places that most need it. The other pair, that comes with the bustier, has the stretch in the front, which looks hot, but it just doesn't make any sense!
These aren't cut like boyshorts, but that's pretty obvious from the product picture. They're true to what they were advertised in terms of look and style. I think it's safe to say the medium fits me better. I will be pairing it with the bustier most of the time when I choose to wear it, which will hopefully be soon. I'm excited to add these to my underwear drawer. They're sexy and they have that tough feminine look I always am after. They are comfortable enough for wearing throughout the day, but I didn't check to see what kind of panty-lines they might leave. I wouldn't wear them under a tight skirt though, that's for sure. They are also safe with the nice liner! Overall, I really like this product. I can't find anything wrong with it aside from that it runs small. I am excited to try out more from Seven Til Midnight. These are the first products I've bought, and despite the sizing concern, I'm very satisfied.
