I LOVE your panties!
The Open Back Babydoll is a gorgeous babydoll if you have the right body type for it. This one won't support larger breasts, but for those with smaller breasts, it will help hide any fat on your body that you are self-conscious about. Plus, the panties are adorable!

Pros
Adorable panties!, peekaboo cups, good for sex, see-through, hides flaws, panties have ruffles
Cons
Doesn't support large breasts or push-up breasts, threads coming undone
The Open Back Babydoll is a cute lingerie set from Dreamgirl that focuses in a black/purple color scheme. It comes in small, medium, and large. The set also comes with a bikini panty. The outfit is made from 100% Polyamide while the panty is made from 88% Polyamide and 12% Spandex. As a note, for the purpose of this review, this is being reviewed as having been worn by my crossdressing boyfriend. We own this set in a size Small.
The lingerie came wrapped up in some tissue paper. It was nicely folded, and when unfolded, there were no creases from shipping. It really is a nice, romantic way to receive lingerie, so if you are giving this as a gift, it looks great.
The boyfriend is 150 pounds and six foot tall. We ended up purchasing this because he loves ruffles on things, and I figured a babydoll nightie would look feminine. He wears a regular size 5/7, and this fits him - both the panty and the lingerie. He uses size B breast forms, and those fit comfortably into the cups.
The upper portion of this lingerie is the most interesting. For one, the cups do include underwire underneath them and are intended to be the focal point of this lingerie. Both of the cups are "peekaboo" cups which means that they have a small hole missing from the cup which allows you to look at the breast underneath. Each of the cups includes the little bow on the front, and the bow can be untied for easy access to the breasts. (They can also be untied accidentally which is annoying.) The fabric of the breast portion can't be seen through. The upper lining of the cups does feature a cute little lace lining. The lace lining extends up onto straps of the outfit. The backside of the upper portion does include the clasp that you usually find on bras with three rows of adjustment. The entire under-bust portion does include elastic, so this will stretch over larger areas if needed.
The bust of the lingerie is pretty neat. It does have underwire underneath the cups. However, because the front of each cup does untie, you don't really get the "pressure" you need to really push the breasts up to get some good cleavage. You also can't really place push-up forms underneath the breasts because they'll show through the peek-a-boo. For most smaller breasted women, this set won't really provide the cleavage you are looking for. It also does fit larger-breasted women. Holding this up to my size C breasts, it's obvious this thing can't really hold the weight nor support it. So I'd recommend this for a size B or under. For a size C, it will work, but it's going to be pretty unsupportive and the underwire might cut into your breasts. The cups aren't padded on the inside, and honestly, they're pretty freakin' soft. I can't find anything on the inside of this cup that would make it uncomfortable. It feels more comfortable than my own bras.
Everything under the bust is see-through as you can see by the product picture. Because the picture was taken in natural lighting, the dress looks more see-through than it will look in your own house-lit home. The dress portion does hang very loosely off the body and will help you hide some of those trouble spots because it isn't clingy. The backside of the dress doesn't really have any of the see-through chiffon - the chiffon dress parts cut off once they hit the bra clasp which means that most of the backside is left uncovered. The dress is intended to hit right above the ending of the butt, and depending upon your height, it will expose some of the crotch. The bottom of the dress is lined with the same lace that the cups were lined with. The chiffon is really comfortable and flows nicely against the skin.
The panties are probably my favorite piece of this entire outfit. They aren't the regular g-string-crap panties that you find with most lingerie, but instead, they are string bikini panties. They easily will stretch out to fit a size medium (or if you just happen to have larger hips than an upper body.) The panties are made of see-through mesh, and the strings are made of elastic and stretch nicely. There is a cotton-fabric crotch liner included. The backside of the panties (my favorite!) includes three rows of the ruffles of the lace that is found on the rest of the outfit. The boyfriend says the panties are extremely comfortable, but the backside of the panties can feel a bit scratchy where the ruffles are sewn in.

Experience
So who would this flatter? A somewhat small demographic. You have to have size B cup or smaller and not have much back fat. However, the stomach is relatively hidden because of the chiffon that hangs loosely, and because the cups have the bows and are meant to be the "focus" of the outfit, your viewer's eyes will be drawn to the cups - not your stomach. The backside is basically exposed though. However, if worn with the included panties, that will comfortably cover up your butt and allow for someone to just easily see the lower back (which looks sexy.) The outfit is great for sex because the crotch is easily accessible because of the lack of material and the breasts are easily accessible by undoing the bow.
The set seems somewhat well-made. The piece does hold together well, and we haven't had any problems with ripping, but there are quite a few stray strands of thread hanging around. The chiffon seems a little thin, but as long as you take decent care of it, it shouldn't cause any problems. For the price, this is expected, so just take decent care when washing or taking off/putting on, and you shouldn't experience any tears.
The tag recommends hand washing in cold water and setting out on the line to dry. We don't have a line, and we're too lazy to handwash things. So it goes in the washer in a lingerie bag on delicate in cold water. It doesn't seem to have harmed it so far this month. Over time, it might harm it, but for a relatively inexpensive lingerie set, I'm willing to chance it. It's worth it for our laziness. For storage, we have this hung up on a hanger - the panties drooped over the hanger too.
Overall, this is a cute outfit that the boyfriend enjoys wearing. He says both pieces are pretty comfortable, and he doesn't feel constrained while wearing it. I slightly worry about how long this set will last, but it seems to be doing just fine so far. He enjoys sleeping in the outfit, though, in the morning, the bows are usually undone. If you think this will look good on you, check it out.

Follow-up commentary
3 months after original review
We still like this piece of lingerie. It's cute, it's sexy, and it's nice and see-through. Despite the boyfriend wearing it to bed a lot, none of the threads are coming undone, and the outfit still looks really nice. (We do hang it up though.)
The only small complaint I have is that, when he wears it, the breast bows have an annoying habit of getting untied, so they have to be retied or they look silly. Otherwise, definitely still a favorite outfit.
