I feel pretty in my Raspberry Fields chemise!
Although the Raspberry Fields cut out chemise is not perfect, it is a great item. I really do feel sexy when I put this on, despite the fact that this doesn't offer any bust support.
Published:
Pros
Comfortable, Unique design, Stretchy, Doesn't wrinkle
Cons
Only available in OSFM, Clings in a way that may not flatter, No support, Can't adjust the straps
Basics:
The Raspberry Fields cut out chemise is made by Coquette. This piece does not come with any bottoms at all; it simply includes the chemise.
Material & Care:
The chemise is made out of 90% Nylon and 10% Spandex. Due to the spandex count, this chemise is really stretchy.
There are basically two different sections of material to this chemise: the lace, and the raspberry colored skirt. The skirt is opaque in nature, even if you stretch it to its fullest potential. It also feels heavenly on my skin, as it's nice and silky smooth; it doesn't irritate my skin at all. The lace itself is also comfortable on my skin, but it's not the softest that I've felt. Still, it doesn't itch or irritate me at all. The lace features a floral pattern -- some of which is decorated with little colored flowers. Also, the lace is not opaque, so your partner will be able to see your breasts through the material.
I also want to note that this chemise does not seem to wrinkle. I had this chemise stuffed in one of my purses for weeks (I have so many purses, and I just simply forgot about it), and yet it didn't wrinkle at all. When I pulled it out, it looked as good as new.
To care for this chemise, the tag states that you should hand wash it and allow it to hang dry. I have put this through the washing machine on the delicate cycle, though, and it survived just fine. If you choose to put it through the delicate cycle, I would just suggest placing it in a mesh lingerie bag.
Sizing:
At the current time, this chemise is only available in one size fits most.
According to Coquette's own website, OSFM should fit someone with the following measurements:
Cups: B
Bust: 34-40"
Waist: 26-32"
Hips: 36-42"
I wear a 34d bra (sometimes even a 34dd, depending upon the brand), and I have a 32" waist. My hips measure 42". So, other than my cup size, I fit the size-chart for this item. I do tend to be on the higher end of the chart, though, so I was worried that this wouldn't work for me. I'm happy to report that this piece fit me really well. It was snug and body-hugging, but it wasn't tight. In fact, I believe that this could fit someone slightly larger than me, too, though it would also work on someone smaller.
As for length? I'm 5'6", and this came to mid-thigh length on me. I was very pleased with the length.
Design:
This piece is fairly unique.
The top of chemise is the lace portion, and your breasts will pretty much be seen through the fabric. The little flowers do help to provide some privacy, but they don't provide full coverage. The bust portion of this outfit also does not provide any support at all; there is no padding or underwire.
The skirt of the chemise is attached only to the front of the chemise, so the sides and back are open. There's not much to say about the skirt, other than it is meant to hug your curves.
One of my favorite features of this chemise is also one of my least favorite. I adore the wide straps, but I hate the fact that I can't adjust them. That's right; the straps cannot be adjusted at all, which is a real disappointment.
Another thing to keep in mind with this outfit is that it is intended to cling to your body. This means that the material may reveal any flaws that you feel you have. Still, I felt very sexy in this even though my stomach is not completely flat.
Packaging:
The packaging for this chemise was quite simple; it was simply folded nicely and wrapped in plastic. There were also two tags attached with a safety-pin.
Quality:
The quality of this is okay. There were a lot of loose threads, but those were easily snipped off. Also, the sewing in certain sections of the lace seems a bit weird. It feels sturdy enough, but it looks a little funny.
*Side Note*
One of the tags on this piece states that some of the proceeds from the spring/summer collection will be going towards "The Save the Ta-Ta's Foundation," in order to help fund breast cancer research! I thought that was kind of neat.
