I Can't Feel My Legs!
What could be more flattering to a pair of sexy gams than vertical stripes? Not much! Stripes can elongate the legs making them look miles long. I wish these fit better to give me that effect! Unfortunately, the band is way too tight and rolls unless it is at a small circumference around 17".
Published:
Pros
Unique design, Average length, No seams!
Cons
Band is too tight, Rolls, Fit like a S, Low quality feel
I buy a pair of stockings for every piece of lingerie I get. I honestly cannot remember what on earth I bought these for! Good thing they were not needed for anything, though. These are super tight and not at all comfortable for me. I expect thigh highs to be tight, snug even, but hurt? I don't expect them to hurt. I also don't expect a fairly expensive pair to feel like the same quality of a pair half their price. The material is not very nice or strong. Sure, the pattern is interesting, but that's about it. I have not been this disappointing in a pair of thigh high stockings in a long time.
*Overview:
This pair of stockings from Leg Avenue are netted. They have a somewhat fishnet pattern that also has pairs of stripes. They have a large and thick top band that is hard to use with garters. Since these are so tight, you really don't need any, though. They have a closed. non-reinforced toe. They are offered in black and in one size fits most. The sizing is clearly a lie.
*Material Cheap, scratchy
These stockings are made of 96% nylon and 4% spandex. It is very scratchy and cheap feeling. I expected these to be soft, like other Leg Avenue stockings. These are more like the quality that usually comes with sets if stockings are included. The stockings are stretchy, and do hold their shape REALLY well. The band stretches far less than the leg of the stockings. The band has a ribbed feeling, like the top of a tube sock. It has no reinforcement to keep it up other than the tightness.
*Design/craftsmanship: Some nice aspects
The thick band is about 2" tall. It has two layers and is very thick. What is interesting about these stockings is that they have no visible seam. I can't find it! There is not one in the band or the leg. There is barely any stitching at the feet either.
The striped pattern appears four times, each an equal amount of space from each other around the leg of the stockings. Three lines are sewn over with a thicker amount of material creating a darker line in the netting. In person, it doesn't look exactly how I thought it would, but I still think it looks pretty cool. Long vertical lines should make your legs look longer after all!
These seem to be about average length and with the optimal height will fall in the mid to upper thigh range.
The toes are closed and not reinforced. I found them to be reasonably comfortable, but they were noticeable. What I mean by this is that they didn't hurt me but I was aware that my toes were being confined. This can become annoying overtime.
*Cleaning/care/storage: Hand wash
The package says to hand wash these in warm water. Due to their abrasive and rugged nature these are safe being put through the wash if in a pillow case of lingerie bag. Drip dry them. I would fold them in on themselves for storage. They come molded on a small cardboard piece. This slides into an open ended package with pictures of the product on it. There is a small hook through it for hanging and it all comes wrapped in some plastic. It's not good for storage and will probably get destroyed as you open it for the first time.
They are made in Taiwan.

Experience
*Sizing/Application: Tight, annoying
As with most Leg Avenue stockings, these are "one size fits most". They have a suggested weight range listed on the package of 90-160 pounds. They are of average length for thigh highs and a tad shorter than other Leg Avenue stockings I own. I think this is just because they don't stretch as well.
I'm 5'6", ~142 pounds and my thighs are about 22.5" at the thickest part around. They are smaller where I prefer to wear my thigh highs. I was not able to wear these comfortably at that area. The band cuts into the tendon in my thigh which is hella, yea HELLA, annoying. The band also rolls and makes them feel even tighter. When I wore these lower on my thigh where it is 17" around (4" above my knee), this is where it does not dig in.
So my conclusion is that these are best for women with very thin thighs or very tall women who can wear them lower than I can on my 5'6" frame. Since it is hard to use garters with the thick band, you'll need a good thigh fit to keep these up. Because of what I know about the thigh fit, I'd say the max for these is about 18" if you don't want it to cut of circulation, look unsightly, or cut in. If you are shorter than 5'3", these are probably not a good fit for you. They may start to bunch.
I can wear these, but it is very uncomfortable and if I wear to wear them for more than a quick show to my boyfriend for him to rip off, it hurts too much. These are unusable for me, as is. Since I don't return stockings. I don't even know if you can do that...I'll find some other use for them. Potpourri bags, anyone?
P.S. It is super annoying to try to line up the lines correctly with out twisting them!
*BEST Fit Chart: These fit like a S
Pounds: 90-125 (unless you are taller or have very long legs)
Height: 5'3"-5'8"
Thigh circumference: ~16"-18"
*Conclusion:
Sadly, I'm giving these a 2 star rating. I imagine they could earn a 3, possibly even a 4 from a rare number of women. For me, their quality is low even if they did fit better. The band is way too tight and rolls unless it is on a small thigh circumference.

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
I still have these, but have not worn them again. I plan to cut the band. I've been working out a lot and hope that maybe my thighs will tone up and lose more inches, but I don't think I will healthily lose THAT much to wear these comfortably.
