I have firmly entered the world of sexy undies. I have now tried skimpy little scraps of lace, boyshorts and crotchless panties. In the spirit of trying everything I can wrap 'round my ample hips I bought the Red Rosebud Split Crotch Panty by Fantasy Lingerie. Now I know what a crotchless panty is supposed to fit like but I had no idea what a split crotch panty was. Imagine my surprise when these arrived and I realized they were split up to the waistband both front and back! How sexxy!!


My camera isn't the best in the world and doesn't do justice to the exquisite detail and color but you get the broad idea about how these panties are cut. The actual color of the panties is a deep, rich, vibrant red not this washed out pink.

I ordered the 1x size as I generally fit most comfortably in an 18-20 dress size. I have had three kids and not really put my body back togethr after them so I have a leftover 'baby roll'. I prefer not to wear panties under this roll of skin as it looks awful so this cut fit comfortably around my natural waist. I am shorter than average and I can actually squeeze into smaller size panties but I prefer them to not ride up or roll down. These do not ride up painfully into my butt crack. I would say these are spot on in terms of sizing so there's no need to order up or down a size.

I was disappointd to see that the white panties are only OS and the red are not offered in anything smaller than 1X! I would love to have the white in a 1X and I remain hopeful that in the future they will be offered.

The site says the panties are composed of nylon and spandex but the label on my panty says 100% Nylon. Since there really isn't an area I have seen any spandex like material I would believe they are actually nylon only. The nylon is sheer and comfortable though the lace around the waistband and leg holes is a bit stiff before a few washes. It doesn't make them uncomfortble to wear, however, and they are really very pretty to look at.

This is the front detail and the rose that gives the panties their name. My camera doesn't do justice to the intense red of the panty or the exquisite detail of the lace. The lace on this front detail is soft and smooth with well finished edges. These panties do not snag easily and can be worn under pants with minimal panty lines.

They are completely comfortable to wear all day despite the lack of a cotton crotch liner...or any crotch at all! For ladies like myself who like to go without panties these are a great compromise. The crotch is split all the way from the waistband in the front, down and around to the waistband in the back. The front detailing lace and flower helps to hold the panty closed in the front and far from being lewd in the back it's actually very sweet looking. I quite like them for wearing under a body stocking for ease when having sex and also when needing to use the restroom!

All of the stitching on this panty is even and the edges have a finished look rather than a raw one. They look as though they would stand up well to being washed and dried in the usual manner but I still wash them in a lingerie bag on gentle cycle and allow them to drip dry. The rosebud detail is held on with what looks to me to be hot glue so this is why I don't run them through the dryer, even on air only. This is the only flaw I saw on the panties the fact that you can actually see the bead of glue on the lace under the ribbon rose.

These are probably my most favorite sexy panties. They are comfortable, easy to care for and look great on my body. They don't stay on my body for too long if the truth is said...and that is not a bad endorsement now, is it?
