Holiday Sequin Chemise- Sparkly blahh...
All in all, it's not a horrible piece, but it's not great either. It uses quality materials, but the great materials are sewn together haphazardly. It's nice that the bows are safety pinned, so you can take them off if you wanted to, but I did expect them to be sewn on.

Pros
Quality materials
Cons
Poor sewing on maribou, weird bra cups
In theory, the idea behind this chemise is so cute. Sequins? Love. Maribou? Love. Latex look? Love. Bows? Love. Unfortunately, the combination of all these things together just didn't work for me.
Lets start with the construction of this chemise... The quality of the materials is on the higher end, which is nice because it's durable, and it FEELS like quality, not a piece of junk you just picked up at a hole in the wall store. But you'd think if Coquette is investing in quality materials, that they would have them sewn together in a quality way? Not the case.
Starting with the cups, the sequins are sewn on and THEN the cups were molded, (it seems) which left some of the sequins bent and pointing straight out. The way that my breasts looked in the top of this chemise was GREAT, but for some reason, it took FOREVER to get them to sit in the cups right. It was odd, the bottom of the cups just seem to be in a weird spot for me personally, and this is a problem that I've never had before.
Next, the bows. Adorable bows! BUT, they're pinned on! I'm so afraid that I'll rip right through the chemise if the bow gets snagged on something.
The maribou trim, so completely cute... Unfortunately it's not sewn on completely, again leaving me to feel like it's going to rip right off of the chemise. (see photo) I also feel like the trim should go completely around the bottom of the chemise, not just the sides and the front. With it like this, it gives it somewhat of an incomplete look.
As for positives, the curves of the red sequined area contrasting the black sides does give a rather slimming look and creates a bit more of a waist. The straps are adjustable which is great! The materials are stretchy and not restricting, which is another great feature of this chemise.

Experience
Unfortunately this chemise didn't give me the confidence that I look for in my lingerie. I felt like a frumpy, blahh, whatever, and not sexy at all. The way the seams laid were uncomfortable to me. It made me feel like it hugged the curves, but the WRONG curves, not the right ones that I usually love to have my lingerie pieces hug. I'm a size 12/14 in jeans/dresses, size large in tops and I ordered a size large, which is what I usually am in lingerie, but this fit was odd. The length is strange, the cups didn't seem to fit right, and the torso part fit perfect. Maybe it's made for a perfectly proportionate body, which mine is not.
Follow-up commentary
1 month after original review
I tried it on because a friend of mine didn't seem to believe that I, or anyone else for that matter, could look bad in this. It's just not a great piece. Nothing about trying it on again has changed my mind about a single feature. It's cutesy for the holidays I suppose, but the chemise itself is just lacking.
