I've been a part of the goth community for about fifteen years. And before that I was a punker. Stripy socks and stockings are very much a parr of both cultures. I've ended up making fingerless gloves out of striped socks many many times. I have even taken old striped tights and turned them into things. It was very much a part of the way you make things when you are a gutter punk and I still do a lot of those things.

The Striped Thigh High Socks that are here on Eden are made of lycra and acrylic. They are thigh highs, but they come all the way up to crotch because I am short. They are classic gothic black and white striped. They have the feel of stockings that are on the heavier end. They are one size fits most.

They are very easy to wash. However I would never put them in the washing machine and dryer. I just fill the sink up with warm water and gentle soap. I slightly kneed the soap into the socks. Rinse the soap out with fresh warm water. I hang them up in the shower to let them dry. Never wring them out, it stretches them out and can ruin the socks.

When they say that one size fits most, they mean it. These are really not for bigger boys and girls. The stretchy top of the sock was very tight around my thigh. It didn't feel like it was cutting off the circulation, but if my legs where even a little bigger it would really have hurt.

The fabric of The Striped Thigh High Socks is much stronger than I would have thought it would have been. I'm kind of rough on stockings and socks. Even with me wearing them to do sound tech for a show, I didn't get a run in them at all. And I know that I caught them on things left and right. I was almost sure that I was going to have nasty runs in them after some of those snags, but not a thing.

These are strong little buggers for stockings.

I really wish that Eden carried all the kinds of Striped Thigh High Socks. I would have all of them and be wearing them all the time. I just love them, they are sooooooooo cute!!!!
