Gorgeous In Green!
The Eyelash Lace Bustier by Coquette is absolutely beautiful but only available in sizes S-L. I had ordered the size large thinking that it could work for my XL body, but it didn't. This is probably one of the prettiest pieces I own and would absolutely recommend it to those smaller than myself. This may just be the piece that motivates me to shed some pounds. I need this to fit me.

Pros
gorgeous, modesty panel, comfortable material, detachable garter/shoulder straps, lace back.
Cons
uneven lace pattern, no larger sizes.
The Eyelash Lace Bustier by Coquette is available in sizes S-L. I ordered the size large. I loved the beautiful green colour and lace pattern as soon as I had seen it. I purchased this bustier to wear as a top out in public.
The bustier arrived on a black padded Coquette hanger surrounded by a plastic bag. The hanger is excellent to use to store the bustier in your closet when it’s not being worn. Attached to the bustier were a cardboard tag and two small zip lock style bags. The cardboard tag states the company name, product name, size, and company website. There were also a few photos of a model wearing the piece on the tag. One of the zip lock style bags held the two detachable shoulder straps, and the other bag held the four detachable garter straps.
The bustier is 100% polyester (exclusive of trim). There is no stretch to the material, but the centre back of the bustier laces up so you can adjust the width of the corset with the lacing.
I’ve taken measurements of the bustier laying flat. The lacing in the back of the bustier was done up as it arrived (no spacing between the lace-tightest fit). So the measurements for the width will be for the tightest fit, though this can be adjusted by loosening the lace. This bustier was also done up on the first row of eye closures down the centre front (tightest fit).
Adjustable shoulder strap length: 8 ¾ -16 ¼ inches
Adjustable garter strap length: 5 ¾ - 9 ½ inches
Chest (armpit to armpit): 15 ½ inches
Length of bustier (armpit to bottom of bustier): 14 inches
Length of bustier (down centre back of bustier): 14 inches
Width of bottom of bustier: 15 ½ inches
Cup length: 5 inches
Cup width: 7 ½ inches
The bustier has hook and eye closures down the centre front. There are 2 rows of 15 eye closures with a ½ inch gap between the two rows. There are 6 plastic boning pieces in the bustier; 2 down the front and 4 down the back.
The loops to attach the garter and shoulder straps are on the inside of the bustier so if you choose not to wear them, it won’t look odd. I rarely wear garters since I wear these pieces out in public but I love having the shoulder straps to hold the top up.
What I really like about this bustier is the modesty panel at the back of the bustier. Basically this is just a long flap of material that sits beneath the laced area so that no skin is showing through the lacing. What I like is the width of it. The flap of material is 6 ¾ inches wide. This is really great, especially for me since I knew I was going to have to really loosen the lacing so that I could fit myself into it. The lacing in the back is actually just a very long black ribbon. There is a generous amount of ribbon for those who need to really loosen the back for added width.
The floral patterned lace accents on the bustier are beautiful! The placement of the lace is fantastic. There is the floral lace pattern on the cups, down the centre front of the bustier, and one on each side of the bustier. Surrounding these lace areas are little “eyelashes”. These are basically just little strands of thread (or at least that’s what they look like).
While I do think the lace is gorgeous, I noticed a few errors with it. Firstly, the lace on the cups is uneven. When I measured the distance between the top of the lace and top of the cup, there was approximately a ½ inch difference. It’s not terribly noticeable but it’s there. The second thing was the way lace that runs down the centre front of the bustier. At the bottom of this lace design, the sides don’t match up. It’s VERY uneven and I feel that this is pretty noticeable. In the photo below you can see how the pattern doesn’t match up at the bottom. If you look closely, you can even see that there are eyelashes running down and on the inside of the bustier.
The last thing which isn’t terribly noticeable is that there are a few small flaws in the lace patterns like gaps of no eyelashes, eyelashes being sewn down rather than sticking out (which they’re supposed to do), and a few loose stitches. I mean, it’s not something that most people would notice, but I feel for the price of $59.99, they should have taken a bit more time to make things even on the bustier.

Experience
...continued
The small things don’t really bother me, but the centre lace of the bustier being uneven is not cool. Maybe I'm nitpicking but for the price, I feel I have the right!
The cups of the bustier have padding and underwire in them so there is no need to wear a bra with this piece. The care tag states that the bustier should be hand washed only and hung to dry.
As for my personal experience with this piece… it was good. Unfortunately for me my XL body had a really hard time fitting into this piece, even with the loosened back. I had to loosen the ribbon pretty much completely. I was able to suck everything in and do the hook and eye closures up (loosest fitting row), but it was too tight underneath my chest for me to be able to wear it comfortably. This is my fault though, not the bustier.
I put the bustier on by loosening the back ribbon and trying to see if I could do the hook and eye closures up in the front. Once I had it loosened enough, I had to suck everything in and do the hook and eyes up. I really had an issue with trying to keep the modesty panel in the back laying flat. You’ll be able to see it on me in the photos below. I think the bustier would be a lot easier to put on if you have help for another person (partner, friend, family member, etc).
The length of the bustier was good for me. I’m 5’6 and my muffin top hips were not poking out. My cup size is C and I seriously felt like they were going to pop out of the cups in the bustier at any minute. I don’t think it would fit a cup size larger than mine. The material of the bustier is comfortable and I did not experience any irritation to my skin while wearing it.
Overall, this piece receives a 4 out of 5 from me. The reason I’ve deducted a star is because of the uneven lace pattern at the front of the bustier. I’m not sure if this was just a defective bustier or if they all have uneven patterns like mine did but either way, the price is high enough to expect better than that. Everything else though is fantastic about the bustier. I wish it came in XL so it would actually fit me right.
