Fun-time in the Sunshine
This silky feeling chemise is perfect for a romantic evening in, but the clingy nature of the fabric may not suit all body types.

Pros
Feels lovely, stretchy.
Cons
The bows can fall off, may not flatter all figures.
This chemise is made of a cheerful, sunshine yellow, satiny 94% nylon 6% spandex mix that feels light as air and smooth against the skin. It's trimmed in little satin bows in three shades: a matching sunshine yellow, pastel yellow, and white. I have it in size medium, so all measurements are relative to that size. It measures 18” long from center top to hem and features slits along the front at the thighs that are 7” deep from the hem and trimmed with 3 more bows. While it's unlined, it still feels sumptuous against the skin, it features underwires, which are covered in a lightly padded velvety material. The underwires don't really add any kind of support since the material is soft and stretchy but they do give a bit of shaping. The “cups” themselves are rather shallow, only 4 inches deep, excluding the inch wide trim since the “trim” is just open space with bows along it. You can see that here. The bows along the top are well attached but the bows trimming the thigh slits are only tacked on with thread; I lost one after the first time I wore it.
The chemise has a good amount of stretch to it and will accommodate a range of sizes. The chest (under the cups) measures 30”-40” max and the cups themselves will accommodate a B or C best, I'm a D and have a bit of “spillage”. The waist measures 24 inches unstretched and 42 stretched to the absolute max. It comes with a matching thong panty made of the same material. The thong measures 28” unstretched 32” stretched at the waist, the “triangle” portion is 4.5” unstretched and 6” stretched.
As far as comfort, it's not the best thing for sleeping in, but I don't think it's designed for sleeping. It's very short, it barely came to the bottom of my bottom, which my husband really likes, but means I have to throw on a robe if I'm gonna run to the kitchen. It feels lovely and touchable, and as an added bonus, the thong is possibly the most comfortable thong I've ever worn. The sub-par stitching on the trim aside, it's very well constructed and the stretch makes it rather resilient. The only major cons to this chemise are due to the nature of the fabric; it highlights every imperfection, bump, and ripple on your body. It looked fabulous from the waist up, but from the waist down, it wasn't so inspiring, from my perspective anyway, but I'm self conscious about my hips and thighs. My husband and I found it to be very pleasing from a tactile perspective and he thought it looked good on me, so that's all that matters I guess. The other downer is that it's hand-wash or delicate cycle in a lingerie bag only; any detergent is fine, but it won't survive a run on the normal cycle with the rest of the laundry.
I think this would suit anyone looking for something that feels silky and helps set the mood for a romantic night. If you don't mind the extra care that needs to be taken with its washing, it may just work nicely for you.

Follow-up commentary
9 months after original review
This chemise is still one of my hubby's fave pieces of "limited time on" clothing. I've had to sew the little bows back on a few times now, but it's an easy fix.
