For The Short And Skinny (OS)
I'm very sorry tall ladies, but these aren't going to work for you. On the plus side for short ladies, these aren't going to sag behind the knees or ankles because you're too short, so I guess it sort of works out. If your thighs are more than 23" around they'll probably be a bit tight as well, but overall are a well made pair of tights.
Published:
Pros
Stay opaque, Unique design, Won't get saggy on small frames, Well made
Cons
Will only work well on inseams 29" or less
What are these, and what are the basics about them?
These are patterned tights, and they're basically pretty neat. They're a great addition if you want a bit of extra warmth when wearing a skirt, or to provide a bit of modesty if you're wearing something really short.
Cool, what's the packaging look like? What's it made of, and how do I care for it?
The packaging is pretty reminiscent of just about every package of tights I got as a kid, with the cardboard sheath wrapped around the tights. The front has an image of a model wearing them, and the back has care, materials, and sizing. These are 25% Nylon and 75% Polyester, and should be hand washed and drip dried. You would probably be ok running them through the washer and dryer, but do so at your own risk.
Fair enough, what's the sizing like?
The packaging says that the sizing for this should fit between 5'-5'10" and 100-175 pounds, and I call bullshit. I'm 5'2", my inseam is about 29", I weigh about 125, and I feel like that was pushing it. These were comfortable, but still a little tight around the thighs. Mine are 23 1/2" at their widest, and once I had them on and had moved around they were ok, but they definitely felt restrictive. Where I normally wear my pants is about 34 1/2" around and these (unsurprisingly) created a bit of muffin top, but when pulled up to my natural waist (around 29" or so around) it was pretty much gone. At first they feel like they're going to come up just fine, and then I felt like they just stopped. An inseam any higher than mine probably won't fare very well with these.
Fantastic, more stuff that only fits small people. Can you tell me more about the design?
Sure thing. The stripes are opaque for the most part, although up where my thighs stretched them out you could still see through them a bit. Like, I could see my thigh tattoo if I looked for it, but it didn't jump out. Once you reach the control top it's a lot more see through. I still had to be careful with a shorter dress to make sure that I didn't end up flashing anybody my underwear because you could still see it through the top. The top measures about 10" across when laid flat, but stretches to about 16", although at that point it's probably going to be uncomfortably tight.
Ok then, what about the quality?
A hearty "not too shabby" from me. They feel nice against the skin, they didn't have any loose threads or fraying ends, they have some stretch. They could have been a lot more accommodating, but all things considered they aren't too bad and should last you a while.
What kinds of things can I wear with them?
Just about anything you want! I would recommend shorts over a skirt or dress, simply because the top portion still shows the underwear some.
Got any pics?
Of course I do! I don't have any of me wearing them with an outfit since I snapped the pictures before I got dressed for the day and had to rush right out, but here's a front and side view, along with a shot of the toes.

Experience
I've been on a bit of a patterned tights kick lately, and these were just another addition to my collection. Overall I'm fairly happy with them, although I'd like them more if they had a bit more stretch to them. I hate that they won't work for anybody any bigger than me, because they really are a nice pair of tights. So for those that they'll fit these are probably 5 star tights. But because they're only going to work well for a very limited group, I've knocked it down to 3. Great for some, useless for the rest.
