These thigh highs with bows and ruffles by Leg Avenue are worth their low price of $7. These are pretty soft, and they also are pretty warm for not being of the sweater or fleece lined variety. I bought the white ones specifically to match with a baby-blue pair of underwear with attached garters that I bought from Eden, but I think I'll wear them for more than that. When I first opened the package, I almost wanted to cuddle them, that's how soft they are. Since putting them on and therefore stretching them, they don't feel as soft but they're incredibly soft on my feet. I recently bought another pair of tights from Leg Avenue that I really love, so I think I will become a regular customer of theirs. They make great tights for great prices. I've gotten each of the tights I own from Leg Avenue on sale, and that makes the value better than it already was!

The bow could be on the back or front on your thigh depending on your personal preference. The bows and ruffles are sewn onto the top. The bow is about as wide as the top of the thigh unstretched, but stretched on the leg it looks smaller in comparison of course. The band at the thigh is not reinforced with silicone or anything, but it is thicker and has a tough elasticity to it that clings to the thigh.

These tights are hand wash only of course, and should not be put in a dryer. They do not feature a reinforced bottom, just a seam at the toes. There are no other seams on them aside from the stitches on the bows and ruffles. They are truly opaque even when worn, though the more they are stretched, the less opaque they become, of course.

I wore them today with garters and they stayed up okay, but I could tell that they wanted to slip, especially since I made the garters loose because I was sitting a lot today. When I would get up to walk somewhere, they would slide down. Because of this experience, I recommend that garters be used or otherwise you will keep pulling them up repeatedly throughout the day.

They did leave a bit of a muffin top look but it wasn't horrible. However, people larger than me should be mindful of this. The thickest part of my thigh is 19.5" to give some context. I think these could fit very long legged people just fine. They are pretty long on me, as someone around 5'2", so they are baggy in the feet because there just is not room for them on my leg unless I pull them up to my cooch, which is not what a thigh high is suppose to do! Overall, these are nice especially for the price, so I'm gonna give them 4 stars. They would get 5 if they could stay up alone.
