Fancy and Feminine
The Lovebound Corset by Coquette has a lot going on, but it works. It can be worn both in or out of the bedroom because it is opaque. The quality of the corset is great but the accessories were made poorly. Thankfully, all of the accessories are detachable so you don't actually have to wear them with the corset. It isn't my favourite corset that I own but it's in the top 5.

Pros
Pretty, comfortable, opaque, thick, detachable accessories and straps, width adjustable with lace.
Cons
No larger sizes, cheap strands of pearls, stitching of hooks for pearls is weak, no modestly panel.
The Lovebound Corset by Coquette is available in sizes S-1X/2X. I had purchased the size XL for myself. The corset arrived in a plastic bag. I was a little surprised that I didn’t receive a hanger for the corset like I usually do with other Coquette pieces. Luckily, I have lots of hangers so I’ll just store it in my closet with a hanger I already own.
There was no text or images on the plastic bag that surrounded the corset. The only thing on the bag was a barcode sticker. There were two cardboard tags attached the to the corset. The one tag states the company name and collection name. It has two images of a model wearing the outfit. The other tag states directions on how to tie the ribbon. There was also a small zip-lock style baggy attached to the corset with these tags. The baggy held the 4 detachable garter straps. The matching panty that comes with the corset was loose inside of the plastic packaging when it had arrived.
The corset is 100% polyester, exclusive of trim. It is opaque, not stretchy, and fairly thick. While the corset is not stretchy, you can always loosen or tighten the lacing down the centre back to add/reduce width. The matching thong is also opaque, and the material is not stretchy but it is trimmed with stretchy elastic band.
I’ve taken a few measurements of the corset laying flat. The lacing down the centre back was done up the way it had arrived, which was with a 3/8 inch gap between the lacing. Again, you can adjust the width by loosening or tightening this ribbon. If you need any additional measurements, please send me a message and I’ll get them for you.
Corset
Shoulder strap length: 9-16 3/8 inches
Chest (armpit to armpit): 16 ½ inches
Length down side of corset (not including lace trim at bottom): 14 ½ inches
Length down centre back: 14 ¼ inches
Width at bottom of corset: 16 ¾ inches
Waist: 14 ¾ inches
Panty:
Waistband not stretched: 15 inches
Waistband stretched fully: 30 ½ inches
Widest part of material that covers your front area: 4 inches
There’s quite a bit going on with this corset. Both top and bottom is trimmed with cream-coloured lace. There are 4 layers of lace along the top and 2 on the bottom. The lace trim goes all the way around the corset. The length of the lace area at the top of the piece measures approximately 2 ¼ inches and the bottom measures 2 ½ inches.
There is a bow at the top centre front of the corset. It’s pink in colour with a shiny piece glued to the centre of it. The bow is 3 ½ inches wide and approximately 3 ½ inches long. There are 4 strands of fake pearls directly beneath this shiny piece. There are 22 pearls in each strand, and each strand is just over 9 inches in length. The end of each strand has a clasp on it, which attaches to the eye closures that sit off to the side of the corset. There are 2 eyes on each side.
I really liked the pearl idea when I had first seen the corset. I wasn’t a huge fan of the shiny piece that sits in the centre of the bow. I slightly pulled on the piece to see how easy it would be to remove it and it came off. The problem is that you’re left with a bit of mess where the piece used to be.
If you don’t like the shiny thing on the bow, I’d recommend glue gunning or sewing a different decorative piece to where the shiny piece once was. You can remove the bow all together if you wanted to because it’s detachable with a broach-style back. My issue with this is that if I detach the bow I’m also detaching the pearl strands. You’ll also want to trim the ends of the pearls since they were sloppily tied to the clasps.
There are 8 boning pieces to the corset; 4 at the front and 4 at the back. The product page states that the boning is metal but it’s actually plastic. The only metal to the corset are the strips of metal beneath the closures at the centre front. There are 7 metal hook and buttons down the centre front of the piece, each sitting approximately 1 ½ inches away from the next. The other closure to the corset is the lacing down the centre back. The lacing does up with a cream coloured ribbon. The ribbon is 3/8 of an inch wide.

The shoulder straps are elastic. They are adjustable in length and detachable. The garter straps are also detachable but their length can only be adjusted by stretching them. Not stretched, the garter straps are 9 ¾ inches long. Stretched as much as I could, they measured 15 inches.
The garter straps are really pretty but I won’t get much use out of them since I plan on wearing this piece out in public beneath a cardigan or similar item. The loops to attach both garter and shoulder straps sit on the inside of the corset so it doesn’t look odd if you choose not to wear them. If you plan on wearing the garters, you’ll need your own stockings to attach them to since the outfit does not include them.
The corset includes a silver sash that can be used as restraints. There are two thin loops at the back of the corset, which you can run the sash through. The sash is 83 ½ inches long and 1 ½ inches wide. I won’t be using the sash for a few reasons: 1) I’ll be wearing this in public 2) I have better restraints and 3) I really don’t like the silver colour against the colours of the corset. I’ve taken a photo of the directions included in case you plan on using the sash. The thin loops on the corset to attach the sash can easily be removed from the inside with a pair of scissors.
Since I wear most pieces like this in public, I don’t get much use out of matching underwear. I like that the waistband is so stretchy but the top front of the panty is too thin for me. I need at least 5 inches to cover my front area. There is no liner in the crotch. The chest area of the corset does not have any padding or underwire in it. You don’t have to wear a bra beneath the corset though because the thickness of the material doesn’t show nipple outline.
I wear a C cup, a 38 bra band, my hips are 41 ½ inches, my height is 5’6”, and I weighed in the high 160’s last time I checked. I had to loosen the lacing down the centre back quite a bit for it to fit me. The gap was 4 ½ inches at the centre but there was still quite a bit of ribbon length left. With no modesty panel, the more you loosen the lacing the more skin is exposed. The length is perfect to wear in public because it covers my hips and belly. It’s quite comfortable. I could wear the piece for long periods of time without any problems. The lacing trim is soft and non-irritating. The overall quality of the corset is good but the pearls and bow are a bit lacking. The care tag states that the corset should be hand washed only and hung to dry.

Thanks so much for the review. I have had this on my wishlist for a while and was hoping for something detailed to help me decide about it. It looks really great on you. It just doesn't look as amazing in the detail as I originally though. Thanks for being so thorough.
