Emerald Wonder
Coquette's Eyelash Lace Bustier is a unique item that is the closest to perfection I've seen in a bustier in a while. In a sea of blacks, pinks, and white lingerie this hunter green garment stands out making others pale in comparision. The only warning I have is that if you are interested in this bustier's modesty panel don't get your hopes up since it's the garments biggest flaw.

Overview
I’m sure I wasn’t alone when I thought that the green Eyelash Lace Bustier by Coquette was a must-have the moment Eden had it in stock. Actually, I tethered back and forth between the bustier and Satin and Lace Corset for awhile deciding I preferred the bustier’s modesty panel feature. In the end the tie-breaking factor that made me choose this piece did not matter but I still think of this as a classy, high quality piece, that I’m happy to own.
Material and Texture
The first thing you should know is that the color of this bustier is different from what is shown in the product page. I was only able to catch the true color precisely in the packaging picture, as you can see this is more of a hunter green then what is depicted on the model. It is still very nice and definitely a color one doesn’t see too often in lingerie.
As for the material the tag says it’s 100% polyester but I would say that only counts for the green outer shell of the garment which also features black lace detail which fringes at the ends, giving it the "eyelash". The inside shell, which is black, feels a bit like a cotton blend. Both of these fabrics feel soft and sturdy which means I wouldn’t be too weary that this would tear after arriving. One should also note that this does contain six strips of plastic boning that seem to be quite sturdy.
Design and Craftsmanship
In front of this green bustier there is a black lace floral design. Here the flowers are spread out enough that in some cases you can see their stems and leaves. This detail is featured on the sides near the front of the hips going around to the back and again at the bra cups heading down into a V near the adjustable hook and eye closure. Here there is a slight problem in symmetry. The lace on the right side of the closure is 2 inches longer than the left. This is one of two features of this garment that I would say has poor craftsmanship. I noticed that this faulty detail does not show on the product picture so it’s best that those interested in this piece take note before ordering their own.
The bra cups are lightly padded with underwire measuring at 6 inches horizontally and 4 vertically. They are very supportive and one should not have a problem with their breasts dropping below the cups. This garment comes with the added benefit of removable garters and bra straps, both of which are provided for you in a clear plastic baggie when you receive your package. To use the garter straps simply place your nylons between the clamps and slide in till the hook is secured in the round clamp.
Along the back of the bustier is a large black ribbon used to adjust the sizing of the bustier. The ends of the ribbon are tied at the top and bottom of the garment leaving the midsection, where the most give is provided, as the primary area for adjusting. Due to this feature it is unlikely you will accidentally untie this while moving about. Along the back there is also a modesty panel sewn inside the garment at a width of 7 inches. Be warned that if your adjustments go past this width the panel will not cover the rest of your back.
Packaging and Cleaning
The Eyelash Lace Bustier comes in elegant but obvious clear plastic packaging featuring the Coquette standard black cushioned hanger. There is a picture of the model attached to the garment via a safety pin which can easily be removed. When cleaning I agree with the instruction given by the manufacturer “Hand Wash Only, Hang Dry.” This is too nice to risk ruining it by machine washing. I would also recommend that you do not iron this since the polyester feels silky and an iron might ruin your garment if too much heat touches this.

Coquette Size Chart
Offered in sizes Small-Large I chose the Eyelash Lace Bustier in small and for the most part the sizing of this garment was spot on for me. I do however have one complaint in this matter. The modesty panel does not cover the entirety of my back, running out of fabric. This is something that those interested in this garment should be aware of if their waist is around my size or larger. Since the rest of the bustier fit me perfectly well I wouldn’t recommend this as a sign to get the next size larger if you’re close to my measurements or an inch or two under/over. If you really have your heart set on this garment and you’re in that range, sadly, the only thing you can do is get rid of the panel.

What I wasn’t so fond of
I had a tough time going back and forth between getting this bustier or the matching Corset, pictured in Product Line. In the end I specifically chose the bustier because I wanted the modesty panel so that I would feel comfortable wearing this out. Imagine my surprise when, after spending 30 minutes lacing this up to fit me, the panel was too short. While this is a beautiful product and I absolutely adore having it in my collection I definitely feel disappointed that Coquette didn’t get the panel quite right. It’s still one of my favorite products and I would still recommend it to anyone who can make the fit work or doesn’t care about the panel.
What I liked
For those of you who are braver souls than I, one of the best things about this bustier is that you can wear it in public. Okay so I still wear this out on the town but now I have to put a camisole underneath. Anyway the Lace Eyelash Bustier has the right amount of elegance and sex appeal that make it perfect to wear out with a skirt or pair of jeans with no problem. It provides sturdy bust support which means no worries about your bosom falling out or under the cups and the design is sure to garner compliments. With the exception of the panel and misalignment of lace this bustier is in great condition so it should last whomever owns it quite a while with little wear to the garment. I would highly recommend this to anyone who might still be on the fence about this exquisite piece.
