Edgy, Basic, Necessary for the Collection
Get the right size and you'll have a fierce easy-on, easy-off addition to your closet. It has a basic-ness that makes it perfect for adding jewelry, strapless bras, skirts, funky hosiery and gloves but will also stand alone. Functional and comfortable enough to be worn out to parties for a long duration, but includes a 3-snap crotch for easy access when need be.

Pros
Stands alone or invites accessorizing, showcases the legs and butt, potentially flashy or modest
Cons
Fits like a one-piece swimsuit, so it minimizes the chest and has muffin-top-creating potential
Man, oh man, do I wish I had ordered the right size. This is a solid addition to the collection that required slight modifications to enable it to reach its potential, thanks to my miscalculation. There's an edginess to the transparent front panel, despite it being ultimately very modest. The lower half is either a perfect opportunity to showcase some killer legs and bootiliciousness or an embossed invitation to coordinate with a funky black skirt or pair of booty shorts.
Any time a teddy is too small, there is the danger of an awkward and uncomfortable muffin-top situation. The higher the rise on the sides, the more skin to pinch. And with the leotard-like cut of this piece, we tall, toned and flat-chested ladies always have the risk of looking a little drag queen-ish. So it becomes extra important to make sure your curves are accentuated in a flattering way.
So I overshot and ordered a large. Bad move, but thankfully not a deal breaker. Normally, my large rib cage is an impediment to fitting into clothes that are otherwise appropriately sized. With this teddy and its essentially backless design, you need a little bit of snugness to make the fabric hug the curves of your sides. So I ended up having to pull the fabric together in the back and join it with a safety pin. That way it pulled tightly and fit like a one-piece swimsuit. Surprisingly, this was a decent enough look, creating a keyhole in the lower back region.
Unquestionably the highlight of this piece is the transparent front panel. It suggests a bra-less look, utilizing the daring reveal of the entire length of décolletage while still covering the nipples with panels of fabric. If you plan to move a great deal in this piece (or if you overshoot on the size, as I did), it might be wise to pair this with pasties or a strapless bra, so as to reduce the likelihood of unintentional nipple flashing.
And I recommend comparing and contrasting the bra-less and bra-wearing looks. With the safety-pin hack I did to the back to make the teddy fit more snugly, I also created a perfect place to hide the back of a strapless bra. I bring this up because you might be one of the itty bitty titty committee who opts for a bra underneath this piece. Since the teddy is ultimately a leotard, it has the tendency to flatten the breasts, which, from a profile view, will minimize even voluptuous chests. Like I said, there is a potential for drag queen-ness up in this piece.
Thankfully, the garters are all removable, so you can opt for thigh-high hosiery, full-length fishnets or a bare leg. All will work easily well with the teddy, it's up to you to decide style that will showcase your ass cheeks and thighs in the best manner. These parts are the real stars of this show. While the transparent front panel is cool and tone-setting, the eyes of your partner/audience will linger longest where the teddy does not cover. Thanks to the open back, a view of this teddy from behind is categorically similar to seeing someone wearing only a thong.
Another advantage of this teddy is its minimalism. The potential for accessorizing is nearly unlimited. I put a very short pair of booty shorts over the top and added a shiny silver waist necklace. In addition to the keyhole I created in the back with the safety pin, this added two more keyholes on my hips where skin was visible between the top of the shorts and the bottom of the sides of the teddy. Très sexy. Add long gloves, consider funky bright colored strapless bras, try a tutu or wear it as is. All will succeed.
Helpfully, there is a 3-snap opening at the crotch, so you can either dash to the powder room quickly or just let someone have easy access. I'd recommend a very gentle washing and hang dry to keep this baby in top condition.

Follow-up commentary

I decided to give this away to a friend. The top part was too spacious for my chest, I had to use a safety pin to hold the back tighter to make it look better, but then the back lost some of its luster being pinned.
