Dress/Shirt...It Works Either Way!
The simple, uncomplicated styling of this dress makes it more appealing to a wider range of people. The length of the dress, while too short for me, makes an excellent length for use as a top with a pair of slacks or a skirt. If only it came in a wider sizing range, it would be the perfect piece for every collection of “date night clothing”!

I will be honest with you, at 8 months pregnant; this dress is more of a “tight fitting shirt” right now! And it's not getting much use other than being tried on and worn around the house for short bursts of time. However, that does not take anything away from the product; it just makes me that much more excited for when it “fits again”. That being said, I am not exactly what Espiral Lingerie considers a “XL” anyway, making this dress a shirt even when I am not pregnant. So, my plan all along has been to pair this nice, white “dress” with a pair of black slacks or a cute skirt for going out! In addition, I have much larger breasts than the model in the photo, so I “fill up” more of the front, so it does not hang as far down in the front. It does have a very large “gap” and I don’t want anyone thinking this is going to look like a scoop neck or something either. Plenty of skin between the breasts and below them is still showing. The edges of the front of the dress are surged so that it does not fray; I may end up hemming this a little because it tends to fold out rather than in. The rest of the dress either is hemmed or has bias tape covering, so it looks nicely finished. It will look even better once I can get that front edge to cooperate with me! The rings at the neckline are thin metal and are roughly 2 inches, with the lower ring being slightly bigger than the one above it.
I foresee this dress getting lots of use next spring and summer once I’ve had a chance to shake off some of the “baby flab” and the weather is warm enough again to sport a small piece of material and get away with calling it a top!
Really, this is a very simple dress with very few “features.” The only embellishment on it at all is the little silver metal rings at the shoulders! It should look nice on anyone, unless silver toned metal looks just awful on you. The material is fairly thick, but just a little “see through”, for me this means that a scar I have just above my belly button shows through, but is easily camouflaged by making sure the fabric gathers a bit right there. For my own personal comfort, I’m going to also pair this dress with a cute bra that I don’t mind “showcasing”. Because my breasts are very large (I am over filling a G right now), I don’t think they look as appealing without a bra anyway! I will be wearing this “out in public” as far that phrase can be used to mean “in the presence of other adults”. This would not be something I’d wear to a bar or the grocery store! I would think though, that if it fits your frame more like the woman in the stock photo, you’d be just fine to wear this out where ever you please (just not around young children… it really is meant for more “nightlife” than grocery shopping)!

Follow-up commentary

This is still hiding in the back of my closet, but I fully plan on using it again (soon)! I'm still on the lookout for a cute skirt to go with it, as I will never be short enough for this to work as a dress on me...it is a VERY sexy top though!
