Dramatic Cleavage (M)
I won't ever be wearing this out and it isn't the best corset for the bedroom because it takes longer to put on and take off than many of my corsets, but it's still gorgeous! The bust is a bit off because the deep v isn't supported in the correct area with the straps and small chests will be exposed since the chest, again, isn't held at the right area to keep it close to the body. But oh my God, this thing is gorgeous!

Pros
Gorgeous! Dramatic bust line, Lacing, Color, Quality
Cons
Dramatic bust line, Harder to do myself than my other corsets, Hooks show on larger placement
Recently a lot of gorgeous corsets were added. I added a bunch to my wishlists, but when it came time to choose an assignment, I realized a lot of them looked like what I already had. This design is edgier and more unique than most in my collection. Unfortunately, this design isn't the best for large breasts unless you have fake ones, of which I do not have. My natural D breasts look large and shapely from the front, but at times they look a bit deformed from the side. The straps are a bit misplaced. They don't offer much help remedying the situation. I may do some alterations, but for now, this'll sit on the hanger since I don't feel I can wear it out, and its not something I'd wear in the bedroom since it takes a longer time to take off than my other softer bodied corsets from Coquette.
*Contents/overview: One piece, removable parts
*Corset
*4 Garters
*2 Straps
This corset from Coquette has plastic boning and two rows of metal eye and hooks in the front. It tightens with ribbon in the back. The removable garters and shoulder straps are adjustable. There are no designated cups, padding, or under-wire. It's made of grey shades and comes in sizes S, M, L, and XL.
*Material: Sturdy, durable
The corset is made of 100% polyester, exclusive of trim. The trim is the metal hooks and plastic boning. The material is NOT AT ALL stretchy. Keep this in mind if you usually order down when there is give in the corset. The sides that don't have embellishing are smooth, but the front is rough. This is not a delicate corset. It's also not easily bent.
*Design/craftsmanship: Sturdy, could use improvement
The most dramatic part about this corset is the deep V sweet heart bust line. It has major plunge. For girls with small chests, this isn't going to do them justice. It'll also probably not stay flush with the skin. It's best for those with medium to large chests so they can fill out but not overfill the cups. Because there's a lot of space between them. Tightening the back will not bring in the cups for support.
This corset can have straps or not. I think I prefer to wear it with so I have that tiny bit of extra support, but they really don't do much. I wish I could attach the straps a little more toward the center. That's where it is needed, at the points of the cups, or closer to them at least. One of the straps I received has defects in it. It looks like it was pulled during sewing so it has a rippling to it, but it's not very noticeable.
The corset only has eight pieces of boning. The boning is fairly sturdy for plastic. I've felt much worse. It provides the ability to cinch, but won't do magic. There are two in the front off center, one on each side, and the rest are in the back.
There are two rows of closure in the front, about 5/8" apart. There are 15 of them which is pretty average. There's also a small privacy panel if you choose to wear the row that makes the corset larger. I think this is pointless, though. You can see the other row of hooks which looks tacky.
From the center to the second piece of boning is where the embellishment is. It's got a rough netting with floral embroidery and silver accenting. There's a piece of scalloped lace that covers where the fishnet is sewn. However, pieces still peak out.
The front comes down in the center which isn't for everyone. It'll help those who have pudge. It'll keep it from creeping out the bottom. The sides should hit at the hip line or a little below. The center comes down 2 1/4" further than the rest.
In the back there are 11 grommets on each side with a 1/2" piece of ribbon threaded through. The cool thing is that the ribbon cannot come out by accident. It's fused together, so it's one solid piece.
This corset isn't the easiest piece to put on by myself. The pictures you see are how I got it on solo, but I could've gotten it much tighter with help. It's easiest if you let out the back and hook it up from the bottom to the top. Then you can simply pull the middle where the lacing is loose, how it came when I received it, or tighten it slowly from the top and bottom, working toward the middle.
The garters attach at the second piece of boning in the front and in the very center in the back.

Experience
That means if I were to get the back pieces to touch, the garters would lie in the wrong spot.
*Cleaning/care/storage: Hand wash, padded hanger and bag
The tag says hand wash and hang dry, which means spot clean. It came on a nice padded hanger. The corset has hanging loops on the inside. I'd store it on the hanger or folded and laid flat. Made in China.
*Sizing/fit: Runs true to size
I wear a medium in most Coquette corsets. I chose a medium for this one too. If I wanted the back to close completely, I'd need a L, but that would then force the back garters together awkwardly.
The backing - about as much space as the model
The medium on Coquette's chart is supposed to fit a 8-10 dress, B cup, 36-38" band, 28-30" waist, and 38-40" hips. I weigh ~144 pounds (size ~8); curvy but fit, with size 34/36 D breasts. My waist is about 30" and hips 38.5".
The fit in the waist and hips is great, it could accommodate someone larger than me, but it won't fit larger than the chart. I have plenty of lacing and would have even more if I'd had help when taking pics. The bust is where it fits oddly. Any larger than D breasts even if they are fake will probably cause the cups to stick out too far. Small Ds or large Cs are probably the best for this corset. It needs to be filled out, but the cups are not supported once they are filled.
Without straps and with
UPDATE: I took Js250's advice and added a body stocking underneath!
And with various mini jackets...I still feel like I wouldn't be comfortable wearing this out, but I'm getting closer!
My Re-done chart: For the medium
Dress: 8-10
Cup: C-D
Band: 34-38"
Waist: 27-32"
Hips: 38-41"
*Possible accessories:
I think a pair of panties like the one in the picture would be most flattering with this because of where it falls on the hips.
And to follow the corset theme with stockings...
And for heels...some high and lacie!
*Conclusion: 3 1/2 stars ❤❤❤ 1/2
If I could give this 3 1/2 stars I could, because it does have great quality. The bust is a little tricky on this. It flattens my boobs from the side and has a tendency to fold right below them. If your breasts are too small, you chest will be flashing because there isn't anything holding the cups to the body since the straps are spaced too far to the side. I don't really know what I'll do with this corset since I'd never wear it out. That's too much boobage even for me. I want to pull it up to cover more, but then it comes to high under my arms. This probably won't work well for a lot of people. It's gorgeous, though! I don't know... I'm a little torn. What do you guys and gals think?

Follow-up commentary
2 months after original review
After trying this with other clothing items, I now like it even more. You just have to play around and find a look that works with your body type. I have not worn it out yet, but I do have a photo shoot planned and hope to wear this in it with black shorts and fishnets, top hat, and cane. Perhaps it will turn into a Halloween costume of sorts, I'm not sure yet!
