Cute, but not luxurious...
This dress is cute, but don't expect to stand out at a black tie event, even if you have an amazing body. It's not a luxurious as it looks in the manufacturer's pics.

Pros
Cute if it fits you right
Cons
Runs big, not as good as it looks in the picture, overpriced
Coquette has some amazing looking stuff, and they have a way of making you really want it. But I have yet to order anything from them that fits me like the size chart says it should. According to their size chart, I wear a medium. I was tempted to order a large, because my hips are a little bigger than that, but figured that if the dress had any give to it, I'd be okay with the medium.
The dress was so big on me that I couldn't even hold it up and take pics of myself in it at the same time. It literally fell off of my chest, and hung around my hips. The argument could be made that if I had a bigger chest, I wouldn't have had a problem. But there was only a VERY thin layer of padding, enough to make it shaped, in the chest. And that would not hold up any amount of chestage. You would have to wear a really good strapless bra underneath it to have any decent cleavage at all.
I'm 5 feet tall, and this dress came to my mid-thigh. So if you are decently tall, you might want to be careful bending over in this shorty.
Assuming all this sizing was solved, there's another problem that makes the dress less than flattering. In the pictures from Coquette, it all looks like one kind of fabric. What you can't see, is that the gathered part is more of a mesh material, that lays over the main part of the dress. And it doesn't gather very nicely at all. In the chest area, even if it is totally filled out, it kind of droops. (I should mention, that for some reason, I had a heck of a time taking pictures of this dress. The mesh made the flash do weird things.)
If it didn't droop, it would be a gorgeous dress. Another thing worth mentioning, because I didn't realize it when looking at the pictures originally, is this:
The back of the dress is completely plain. It makes it look a little cheaper.
The bow, with the little snowflake shaped rhinestone, was cute. It seemed a little flimsy though, like if you brushed against something too hard, the snowflake would come off.
The dress came on a plush Coquette hanger, wrapped in plastic.
Basically, if you can get the dress to fit you right, it might be pretty cute on you. But don't expect it to last long. If it was $20, I would have expected what I got. But at twice that price, you certainly aren't getting what you are paying for.

Follow-up commentary
5 months after original review
I'm still so disappointed with this. I really haven't even put it on since I got it and tried it on. I thought about altering it a bit to make it fit better, but with the gathers and stuff, I really don't think I could make it look right at all.
