Classy Elegance? More Like, Fun Beach Cover-Up!
This is a cute dress, but the odd bust fit, and the fact that it is so darn see-through really make me like it less than I could have. It would be very cute for a holiday party or night on the town, just be sure to wear it over something less sheer, like a slip.

Pros
Classy cut, Underbust band is cute
Cons
See-though, Fits oddly on the bust area
I bought this dress thinking it would be a nice dress for the holidays. And, it would be - if I only wear it around my husband. The dress is very flattering for the most part, with only a minor issue - but the biggest problem is that is completely see-though. Looking at the stock photos, I would not have guessed that at all, and, when I bought this dress there were no other reviews.
The dress itself looked very promising. It is a babydoll style dress with a gorgeous silver accented band right under the bust. The dress has no zippers, so you just throw it over your head to get it on. The material is 65% polyester and 35% viscose. It feels cottony and has some stretch to it.
The dress is by Espiral, and I had heard their sizes run on the small size. My own measurements are: 34-36D bra (depending on brand), 33 waist, and a 40 hip. The size which most closely matched my measurements was the XL, which should accomodate a 40 bust, 31 waist, and 40 hip just fine.
I tried the dress on right away, and I discovered that it was very comfortable and fit me everywhere.. Except my breasts. The silver band in the middle rides up a bit too high, and because of that I have to wear a push up bra with this, and tighten the straps to the lowest setting so that my breasts are practically by my chin. It's a bit ridiculous. Once you get past that though, the rest of the dress was incredibly comfortable and flattering.
Due to the fact that this is so see-through though, you'll need to wear a slip if you choose to wear this in public. When I hold the dress up in my hands, I can easily see through both layers, which will tell you just how thin the fabric is. The only bit which is not see-through is the band that goes under the bust. Zigged and zagged with beautiful silver and black accents, this part of the dress is a big thick elastic band. The band does not run around the entire dress, just the front part. It measures 3" thick, and 15" across. It will stretch another 2" with no problems, and the back portion of the dress can give you another inch or two if you need it.
My D cup breasts really look good once you get the dress to fit the bust properly, but I think that larger wouldn't fit comfortably. Because of the cute "wrap" style in the front of the dress, I think that smaller breasts will also look cute in this.
The dress measures 10" from the top of the shoulders to the top of the elastic, to give you an idea of how much bust room you really have. The total length of the garment is 31", and on my petite 5'2" frame, it goes almost to my knees. I would not be ashamed to wear this to a family party or out for a nice evening, with a proper slip underneath it. The waist of the dress will fit as small as 30", and up to 36" with ease. A hip as small as 40", and as large as 42" would fit this comfortably with no problems.

Experience
In order to wash your dress, the label says to hand wash only and not to iron it. As usual (I'm such a rebel), I put it in a lingerie bag on gentle, and it came out fine. I did NOT put it in the dryer, and I definitely do not recommend you do that either. Hang this up to dry for sure! While the cut and style of this dress has a very classy feel, the see-through nature of it makes it difficult to wear this out of the house.
My husband loves the look of this on me, and I am comfortable enough in it to be able to wear it to bed as a sexy nightie. When I'm sleeping the bra issue this dress has doesn't bother me at all. The material does not pull and has yet to tear or fray on me. It's a cute dress but just not exactly what I was hoping for. I will probably wear it to the pool or beach a lot more than anywhere else, truth be told. Still, for this price, it is a nice little dress to add to your closet.

I bet you are stunning in the dress. Wonderful review, it is too bad it does not work for your intended purpose.

Aww, thanks @beck!
-
See-through? Drats.

It reminds me way more of a swimsuit cover-up than a dress, too.
