I've been looking for an inexpensive waist cincher since high school! I never thought I would find such great quality for such a great price. My last experience with corsets involved a chain store and a zipper, not at all sexy. I was really pleased to find a metal boned, hook closured, lace backed corset I could afford.

The corset is 50% polyester and 50% nylon. In the picture it looks silky, and that is definitely how the outside feels. I was worried the inside might be scratchy when I first saw it, but it is actually quite soft and feels almost like felt.

The lace remind me of a shoelace, but the appearance does not detract from the overall look. There is only one lace, which comes with the ends tied. The design makes it very easy to loosen and tighten the corset, although you could untie the lace if you want a different look. The way the lace is designed also makes this a very easy corset to tighten by yourself; however, untying it can be difficult because of the multiple loops formed.

The corset is boned approximately every 3 inches, with metal. There are 20 pieces of metal in all, and the double placement makes the corset sturdy enough to be worn in bed or out dancing. The lace eyes and front hooks are a shiny silver metal and appear very sturdy. The front clasps have a sharp edge, so be careful! I actually got stuck in the corset the first time I tried it on.

One feature I particularly liked in the construction of this corset is the back panel. It is attached only on one side, making it possible to fold it back to expose some skin for a sexier look. The panel is also the same material as the rest of the corset making it less obvious.

As a waist cincher, this corset does not cover the bust line. One issue I have had in the past is waist cinchers resting on my hips and still come over my breasts because of my short torso; however, the Satin Princess Cinch actually fits me perfectly. While this may mean it is a bit short for a taller woman, I was thrilled. I found that I can also wear this cincher with a bra underneath, something I have never been able to do before.

The corset does come with an inside tag instructing you to "hand wash warm, drip dry," and "do not iron." With most items of clothing I would disregard the first warning and machine wash, but I would suggest not tossing this in the machine for the safety of your other clothes.

This waist cincher is still one of my favorites. I can wear it to parties and dance in it easily. I discovered that the small size will fit up to a 35" waist by asking a friend to wear it. I now hand wash it, although I have machine washed it a few times in a delicates bag. It is holding up very well and I can see it lasting well into the future. For such a good price, I couldn't ask for anything more!
