Chunky Cobra
The Queen Cobra dress by DreamGirl is a cute dress that can be worn both in and out of the bedroom because it's opaque. I probably won't wear it out of the bedroom though, because it clings to all my chub, which I'd prefer it didn't. The dress is comfortable enough to wear for extended periods of time and the material is stretchy. The care tag states that it should be dry cleaned only but a good hand washing would be suffice.

Pros
Stretchy, cute, comfortable, inexpensive, opaque, well made.
Cons
no padding or underwire, thin material shows underwear lines, no larger sizes.
The Queen Cobra dress by DreamGirl is available in sizes S-XL. I had purchased the size XL. The outfit was in a clear, plastic bag and on a black, plastic hanger when it had arrived. The only text on the bag was the size of the dress. There was a tag attached to the dress that had an image of model wearing the dress and it stated the company name, company website, colour of the outfit, and size. The hanger is perfect to use to store the dress when it’s not being worn.
The outfit is 98% polyester and 2% spandex. The material to the dress is very stretchy and not sheer. It does not become sheer the more it is stretched. The top front and back of the dress is trimmed with elastic and the shoulder and back straps are elastic. The dress is a light black colour and has a snakeskin print in dark black all over it. The straps are a dark black as well but do not have any print to them. The stock photo doesn’t really show the pattern at all. To be honest, I had assumed it was just a shimmery black judging by the stock photo. You can see the pattern in the photo below.
I’ve taken a few measurements of the dress laying flat, both stretched and unstretched. If you need any additional measurements, please send me a message and I’d be happy to get them for you.
Chest (armpit to armpit) not stretched: 15 ¼ inches
Chest (armpit to armpit) stretched as much as I could: 24 inches
Cup length: 6 inches
Cup width: 7 ½ inches
Length of dress (armpit to bottom): 21 inches
The width of the dress is not adjustable other than by stretching the material/straps. The length of the straps is only adjustable by stretching them. Not stretched, the shoulder straps measure 24 ½ inches each. The straps to the dress are 1 3/8 inches wide. The shoulder straps criss cross at the centre back of the piece. There are 2 additional straps that criss cross at the centre back. These straps start from beneath the armpit area and end around the hip area. This depends on how you wear the dress (length of torso, amount you stretch the length of the dress, etc). The back of the dress scoops downwards in a “U” shape.
The cups do not have any padding or underwire. If you’re concerned about erect nipple outline, you may want to wear a pair of pasties beneath the dress. There is a seam line that runs vertically up each cup. These lines run from the bottom of each cup to about ¾ upwards. There is also a seam line running down each side of the dress and another one running vertically down the centre back, on the bum area.
According to the DreamGirl size chart, the XL is best suited for those with a cup size of D-E, a bust measurement of 38-40 inches, hip measurement of 40-42 inches, and a weight bracket of 160-180lbs. I’ve purchased DreamGirl outfits in the past and found that there sizing chart is not the most accurate. I wear a C cup and previous outfits from this company have had cups that were too small for me. I wear a C cup, size 38 bra band, my hip measurement is 41 ½ inches, I’m 5’6” in height, and my weight was in the high 160’s the last time I checked.
It’s really easy to get in and out of the dress because the material is so stretchy. I just put the dress over my head and pulled it down my body. The cups to the dress fit my C cups fine. A D cup should be comfortable in the dress as well. Depending on how large your chest is, you may or may not be comfortable with the lack of support. I found that even with just a C cup, my chest looked kind of saggy without any underwire.

Experience
...continued
The length of the dress was okay for me, but it would have been nice if it were longer. If I were to wear this dress in public, I’d have to wear opaque leggings with it. I’m able to pull the bottom of the dress down to about half way between my upper thighs and knees but as soon as I start walking around it creeps upwards. I walked around for a bit in the dress and the bottom of the dress creeped up past the bottom of my bum cheeks. If you’re shorter than 5’6”, you shouldn’t have an issue with this.
My biggest gripe with this dress is that it clings to all my chubby areas that I’d prefer it didn’t. If you have a larger belly/hip area, this dress will cling to it. I have a chubby belly, which I’d prefer to hide. Also, the material to the dress is thin. You’ll be able to see underwear lines through the material. I’d recommend wearing a pair of shaping pantyhose with the dress to avoid these things. In the photos below you can see below how it clings to my body. I wasn’t wearing any sort of pantyhose with the outfit for these photos.
Even though the outfit is a bit clingy, the material is soft and comfortable. I didn’t experience any skin irritation while wearing the outfit. The quality of the dress is good too. I didn’t notice any issues with the stitching or material. The care tag states that the outfit should be dry cleaned only but I plan on hand washing the dress.
Overall, I think the dress is nice. I would have liked it if the dress was to look better on me, but that’s not the dresses fault. I probably won’t wear it out in public because it’s so tight and I’m self-conscious; though it could definitely be worn out since it’s opaque! I’ve deducted one star from the rating because the straps and width of dress is not adjustable. Other than that, it’s comfortable, cute, and opaque.

Awesome review

This is cute, but I agree with the flaws. It seems like for the price I would expect a little more, under-wire and a tummy fix for example. This looks wayyy better on you than the hanger (and better than it would on me) ; )
