Best for a Beginner
As my first corset this was a great choice with full steel boning and steel busks, but I'd confine this one to light play only as it will not withstand heavy use. Someone just looking for some nice lingerie will find that this will last a lot longer than a regular bustier or camisole.

Pros
Steel Boning, Steel Busks, Waist Tape, 2 Layers
Cons
Not Spring/Spiral Steel, Satin is Thin, and will not stand up to regular wear
In May of last year I was selected to be an extra for the period feature film, "Jonah Hex". It was on that set that I got to wear an overbust corset for the first time. I'd previous worn girdles and other shapewear, but nothing like an actual corset. I quickly found that I was able to withstand being "tight-laced" with little even after a fourteen to sixteen hour shooting day. It wasn't long before I was looking for a corset of my own.
I purchased the Satin Princess cinch from Edenfantasys shortly after I wrapped on "Jonah Hex". I had been intrigued by both its price and what another reviewer had said about the quality of the item. I wasn't disappointed.
The corset itself is probably one of the best beginner's underbust corsets I've seen on the market. It has two layers of fabric, the thin satin on the outside and a layer of cotton on the inside. The inside also has roughly 1" ribbon stitch around the entire interior as waist tape. While the corset itself boasts 16 steel bones and 2 steel busks, allowing the wearer to actually cinch the corset without bunching. I've managed to pull anywhere from four to six inches off of my waist using this corset.
I maintain that this corset as a 'beginner model' because it's not meant for general wear like other corsets on the market. I've had to re-tool this corset with spring steel boning, add new grommets, and fix one of the channels after half a year of general wear. This may not seem like much, but in the Victorian era a corset was made to last a woman's lifetime. (Many of them still exist in private collections and museums all over the world.)
I've had the corset for roughly a year now and need to make additional repairs to it. However, it's still holding up fairly well for a beginner's corset that wasn't intended for as much wear and tear I've put on it. I high suggest purchasing this corset to give you an idea as to whether or not you might want to make a bigger investment in a custom corset in the future. I would also suggest looking up how to properly lace a corset and how to pull it tight as there's a very specific method and deviating from it will damage the corset.

Follow-up commentary
4 months after original review
It's a little over a year later, and even with modifications, the corset has basically died on me. I'll probably salvage what I can out of it, and throw the rest away. I'm going to purchase a replacement soon, but it won't be this corset.

Nice review!
I'd recommend only cinching down lightly (maybe 2" at the most) for 1-2 hrs at a time to get used to the feeling. Investing in shapewear and using it on a regular basis would also be best. And don't ever eat heavy in a corset, I'd suggest eating first and then putting a corset on as it'll let your stomach expand and thus you won't swell in the corset later on when you eat and feel really uncomfortable.
Good review!
