Bella Flower: A Fleeting Lingerie Blossom
The Bella Flora jacket is great for adding a bit of color to your wardrobe while still maintaining its seductive appeal. It's sexy enough to be worn in the bedroom, yet tasteful and enough to be worn out and about over a dress or blouse.

Pros
Beautiful embroidery work on the sleeve, lightweight material.
Cons
Collar can get a bit awry, slit on the sleeves.
The Bella Flora is a black sheer mini-jacket made out of 100% polyester (exclusive of decoration, says the tag, along with how to care for it). It is fairly see-through and breathable, which makes this mini-jacket ideal for wearing over something else. It is sheer enough that if worn by itself, one's breasts can become visible in certain types of light.
The mini-jacket ties at the front right along the collar line. This tends to make the collar shift and twist a little, especially since the material around it is slightly ruffled. Once the stringing is tied, the jacket panels float away from the central point and are just big enough to cover the rib cage area in the front. The back is a bit longer and, as a 5-foot tall young woman, it reached the small of my back.
Both sleeves have magenta and purple flowers embroidered into a more sheer fabric strip that sits about midway on the forearm. Below that is a small black ribbon bow with a tiny pearl accent in the middle. From there, the sleeve is split so that it falls away from the arm if turned in a certain way.
The material feels fairly good against the skin, and the embroidery is not too stiff when it comes straight out of the garment bag and off the plastic hanger. It can just as easily be worn over a nightgown or chemise of any kind as it can over a plain dress (I would suggest either white or a color that complements the purple and magenta). Nothing about it screams "lingerie" so it could be worn out and about if it is paired with the right type of top or dress.
It is a shame that this item became discontinued before I had the chance to complete this review, but it is a nice piece of intimate outerwear that I look forward to having as a staple of my ever-growing (as in tiny at the moment) lingerie collection.
