Since my main issue with this garment is the sizing, I think I should first disclose my size. I usually take a 36B and 12-14 underwear (Australian sizes). This is a one size fits all product. I found while the thong seemed a bit small, the unconventional bra was too large. I was not disappointed that the thong did not fit well since I find the style uncomfortable and would rather wear black briefs anyway. I was very disappointed that the bra was too large for me. The bra is composed of a piece of material that wraps around the neck and is secured at the back with a small Velcro patch. Two straps of lace act in place of cups and extend over the breasts from the collar. A cord is threaded through the base of these chest straps under the breasts and can be securely tied at the back. I found that the lace chest straps would slide along this under-bust cord and they were easily displaced to the side or centre of my chest, uncovering my nipples. In case you were wondering it wasn’t a very sexy look.

The gloves are the best part as they fit me well and were comfortable, interesting and pretty. I loved the cute fingerless mitten style and the way they worked as light restraints with the ties on the wrists and arms. For light restraints I thought they worked very well.

The lace mesh is soft and non itchy. The garment should be hand washed because of its delicacy. Because it is very lightweight, it dries quickly.

When I wore this for my boyfriend, I put it under my clothes to surprise him. However I had to wear a scarf to hide the collar from other people who might be interested to know the nature of my pretty garment. I think he was impressed mainly by the fact that I had bothered to dress up for him, but I don’t think he thought I looked amazing in it, otherwise I’m sure he would have asked to see me in it again as he does with my push up bras. Still, I love the style and perhaps with alterations the bra top, it may one day fit me properly. I’m not very handy with the sewing machine though, and I think I’d be too embarrassed to ask my mum to do it for me. The fingerless gloves will be used on special occasions.

If you have c cup breasts, the top would probably fit well. It would also be influenced somewhat by height as the lace straps travel from the neck. Even though I don’t think it would account for much, I’ll let the theorists compare- I am about 170cm tall, and from where collarbones meet to my underbust is 20cm.

Unfortunately, there is a likelihood that you have to consider modifying or substituting an aspect of this outfit, or not using one or more of the pieces...unless you are the model in the picture. However this is such an interesting set and it may well be worth those modifications. Just be prepared for them. I’m giving this set 2 stars, because I think it is unacceptable to purport itself as a once size fits most when it obviously does not, but really I wish there was an option for 2.5 because it really is beautiful, interesting and not excessively priced... and you may find the part you love best fits perfectly.
