Avoid These If You Have Thick Thighs
While the Baci Lace Top Bow Thigh Highs didn't work for me, they may just work for you! Be aware that there are back seams on the thigh highs. Though you can't see them in the stock photo, they ARE there. Also, if you have thicker thighs, you may not appreciate the small band that is supposed to hold the thigh highs up.

Pros
pattern is cute, inexpensive, material is comfortable
Cons
back seam is frustrating, band is small and not as stretchy as it could be, band rolls.
The Lace Top Bow Thigh Highs by Baci arrived in a thin, rectangular cardboard package. The front of the package has a photo of a model wearing the thigh highs, as well as the company name and website. The back of the package has a back view of the model wearing the thigh highs, product name, size, material composition, and care instructions.
Inside of the box, the thigh highs are wrapped around a piece of cardboard and in a plastic transparent bag. I don’t use the packaging for storing the stockings in because I prefer to keep them with my other stockings. I suppose you could use the packaging if you wanted to.
The thigh highs are made of 100% nylon. They are quite stretchy. The band at the top of the thigh high is 1 ½ long, and 5 ½ inches wide (these measurements were taken unstretched). The band is lace. The band is stretchy, but not as stretchy as I’d like it to be. I’ve got pretty thick thighs, and usually wear a size XL in clothing. I couldn’t keep the band at the middle of my thigh because it was too tight and was painful. The band felt comfortable about half way between my knee and middle thigh area. There was a bit of muffin top thigh action going on, but I expected this since it happened with my last pair of Baci stockings too.
The Baci stockings really seem to be made for medium and smaller sized legs/thighs, but I like them so I can wear them under my medium length skirts. I personally would not purchase these to wear with garters and a pair of panties in the bedroom, just because I don’t feel sexy with muffin top thighs. When I wear them underneath a skirt, no one can see this.
I’m 5’6, and they are long enough for me. I can pull the thigh highs far up my thigh (although its painful), and could probably pull them to the very top if the band wasn’t so tight. After walking around in them for a little while, I noticed the band started to roll down my leg. I’m not sure if this is because I was wearing them a little lower than I was supposed to, but I figured it was worth noting. When I tried rolling them back up, they seemed to want to roll themselves back down immediately. This was a pain in the butt. I suppose you could wear garters with the stockings to avoid the rolling band.
The pattern is really cute. There are bows, lace and squiggly lines on the thigh highs (you can see this in the photo below). When I look at the bows, I see butterflies, but maybe that’s just me. While I think the pattern is pretty, I’m not sure if it really does anything for my thick legs. You’ll have to excuse the photos I’ve taken. My partner wasn’t around so I had to take the photos myself.
The thigh high material was comfortable against the skin, and the lace band was not itchy like some lace can be.
One thing that you cannot see in the stock photos is the back seam. This was my first pair of stockings with a back seam and I don’t think I like them. The seam starts at the very bottom of the foot (at your toes), runs along the bottom of your foot, and all the way up the back of the thigh highs. I’m not sure if the seam just didn’t want to work for me because I didn’t have the thigh highs pulled all the way up my thigh, but the seam kept going squiggly on me. This is a huge pain in the butt because I had to keep looking at the back of my legs to see if the seam line was straight or not; and it never was. I’ve taken a few photos of the seam and how it looked on my legs.
To care for the stockings, they should be hand washed separately in cold water and line dried. They should also not be bleached.
I’ve decided to settle on a 3 out of 5 rating for these thigh highs. The band at the top of the thigh highs is much tighter than the last pair I received; the back seam is just way too much work for me, and the top band rolls. The only thing I really like about the stockings is that the pattern is pretty… but even then, I don’t think it’s flattering for my leg size. These will work for some people, just not for me.
