At Least It's Pretty
This bustier set sure is pretty, but it just didn't live up to my expectations. I ordered a size smaller than I usually wear, and this piece was still too big for me. There were also numerous flaws in sewing, and in design. It's a nice idea, but it was poorly executed.
Still, it's pretty enough that I'll keep it and wear it on the very rare occasion.

Pros
Pretty, Adjustable, Removable straps
Cons
Cheap garter clasps, Garter straps fall off, Loose threads, Sewing issues, Sizing is all wrong
I recently discovered that my boyfriend loves red lingerie, and so I've been stocking up on it like a mad woman. I saw this red bustier, and I thought.. oh yes, I need this! I added it to my cart in a hurry, accidentally selecting the medium. By the time I realized that I'd selected the wrong size, this item had already shipped. As it turns out, it was a good thing that I purchased the medium -- a large would've been huge on me! As it is, the medium is nearly too big.
Aside from fit issues, this piece is very beautiful. It's also very flawed.
Basics:
This gorgeous red and black bustier is made by Music Legs. I haven't had experience with Music Legs before, so I wasn't too sure what to expect. After this experience, I'd be willing to try them again, but they're certainly not favorite lingerie designers.
The bustier comes with a matching thong. Be prepared to throw the thong away, as it's pretty much child sized.
For those curious, the tag states that the bustier was made in China.
Material & Care:
This item is made out of 80% Nylon and 20% Spandex.
The overall material is very soft to the touch. The red on the front of the bustier feels almost silky, making it very touchable. The red on the bustier is solid -- you won't be able to see through it at all. The black mesh that's on the side and back of this bustier, however, is very sheer. The little "skirt" ruffle on the bustier is made out of the same material as the mesh on the sides.
Both the black and red fabric have some stretch to them, though the black mesh has significantly more give to it than the red solid fabric does. I'd even say that it has too much stretch to it, as this piece fits big.
Next, we have the black lace which decorates the cups, and the center of the bustier. The black lace features a beautiful floral pattern. The lace feels durable, but the edges are unfinished and they already appear to be fraying.
There is also the ribbon. The ribbon is used to lace up the bustier. The ribbon is not stretchy at all, and I have some concerns over how it will hold up to the test of time. This is because the ends of it already look slightly worn, and I've only just tried this on a handful of times.
Finally, there is the included thong. The included thong is made out of the same fabric as the red portions of the bustier. It's very thick and stretchy.
To care for this item, you're going to want to hand wash it and then allow it to line dry. I would stick to those instructions, in order to ensure that this item holds up.
Sizing:
Music Legs has made this available in three sizes: small, medium, and large. I purchased the medium.
According to the size chart, a medium should fit someone with the following measurements:
Cups: B-C
Bust: 34-36"
Waist: 26-28"
Hips: 36-38"
My measurements are larger than the size chart. I have a 32" waist, 40" hips, and I wear a large C/small D cup. I genuinely did not believe that this would fit me, but it did! In fact, it was too big! In order to wear this, I have to put it on the smallest hook setting, and even then it's loose everywhere but my hips.
My only real issue with the sizing on this set is the cups. My breasts tend to overflow them, even though they're a bit loose. The reason they overflow seems to be because of the cup length. It's just not tall enough for my breasts.
I'd really recommend that you size down for this bustier. It does not run true to size at all!
Interestingly, as the bustier is so big... the thong is teeny tiny. It's laughable how small it is -- I feel like it was made for a child!

Experience
Design:
The bustier closes in the back with a set of hook and eyelets. There is one row of 12 hooks, and two rows of 12 eyelets. Closing the hooks takes a bit of effort. I tend to close it in the front, and then spin it around, but the problem is closing the hooks is difficult. The hooks just don't slide into the little eyelet holes easily. I also find that when I do get one hooked, it comes on done just as soon as I try to hook the next one. I've had this problem other pieces that use this closure system, but never this bad. This problem is constant with this bustier.
Once you get the bustier on, and turn it around, you have the option of wearing it with or without the straps. I have to wear this with the straps, as it falls down when I remove them. That said, I always have issues with strapless pieces, so the problem might be me. After all, the bustier does feature a little rubber band going over the tops of the cups, which seems like it's meant to hold the bustier up. If the bustier fit me properly, it would probably work.
You'll also want to adjust the ribbon that crisscrosses on the center of the bustier. When I received this, the lacing of the ribbon was done in a very odd fashion -- it just wasn't even at all. I took it out and redid it, but it took a lot of effort.
The ribbon is very pretty, and I like that it gives you the option to open the bustier up a bit (if you need it), or to pull it completely closed. For me, I need to have it as tightly adjusted as I can in order to get the bustier to fit me snugly.
What other design elements does it have, you ask? Why it has gorgeous lace detailing. The lace detailing goes down the front, and over the cups. It's very beautiful, elegant, and sexy.
There is the little ruffle on the bottom of the bustier. The ruffle has red trim, making it match the rest of the bustier. The trim also features two bows, both of which are black in color with red trim around the edges. The bows are not removable, but you could probably remove them with a seam ripper.
Finally, we have the garter straps. The garter straps are both removable and adjustable. At the shortest length, the straps measure 6". At the longest possible length, they measure 10". The clasps on the garter straps are plastic and they feel very cheap. Also, I find that the garter straps tend to fall off the bustier with ease, which is unfortunate.
As for the thong? It's a basic thong. There's nothing special about it, except the fact that it has a little cotton pantyliner.
Quality:
The quality of this set isn't great. There were numerous loose threads on the bustier, and I found a few areas where the sewing was just a bit "wonky".
Over all, I give this item 2 stars.

Follow-up commentary
1 month after original review
This item had potential, but it just doesn't work for me. Due to the strange sizing, I don't think it'll do much for most people, which is disappointing. Still, it looks pretty, I guess.
