All-pervasive and a stand-by for any outfit
They might not be the most comfortable or well-made tights, but who wants to throw down for a fancy pair that will run eventually? They also have endless colors and patterns. These tights do their job.

I've got to say — for being so damn pervasive — Leg Avenue tights aren't half bad. They can be found at most teen-subcultural-mall-type stores, fetish-wear shops, Halloween outlets — you name it. They're as opaque as they say they are, and the waist elastic keeps its shape for the most part.
My main problem with the brand is how quickly they run. They catch on zippers super easily, which is a frequent occupational hazard if you're planning on pairing them with leather or latex gear. Painting the tears with clear nail polish will keep them from running further, but the polish leaves the spot with an uncomfortable stiff texture. They seem to tear at the crotch seam most commonly, which might indicate that although these fit me lengthwise they don't have much tolerance for a larger butt. They tend to be unsalvageable when this happens. If you discard tights after they develop the first tear, be wary — though for the price, the risk might seem worthwhile.
In terms of fit and comfort these tights are pretty decent for what they are. They are completely synthetic (100% nylon) and serve more of a decorative purpose than providing any warmth. The itch factor is low, but after a number of wears they tend to lose their shape. I'd recommend hand washing or machine washing cold and hanging them to dry to lengthen their life and keep them fitting snugly. The tights are extremely high-riding (above the waist), which may annoy those who like a low-rise outer layer. Personally, I prefer this as it makes for a less bulky silhouette, and keeps them from slipping down over my hips (rarely have I experienced the dreaded knee-crotch with these guys.) Overall, they may not be outstanding but they are extremely easy to come by and a good stand-by when you have more exciting things to invest in.

Great 1st review! I have thought about getting these and I'm glad you mentioned how easily they run. I'll have to pass. I normally get my tights and even the thick cotton thigh high leggings in a pack of 3 for 5.00 so these wouldn't even measure up. They look so cute though. I do have a question about them... is the color just as it's shown in the photo or is it off any? Just curious if they're as pink as shown.

Thanks for the review.

kendra- I've had these tights in a similar color but I didn't order them through this site so I'm not sure about the color. My experience with Leg Avenue hosiery is that the photos are pretty accurate.
